Just wondering why they would move the fence in for a couple years. He's no Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemons or Sammy Asos. Harry Carey had the not so great quote about how you say Sosa backwards.dal4018 wrote:Have no idea are you calling him a cheat????Gil Dobie wrote:Did Hank gain an advantage when they moved the fences in 10 feet during his home run chase, at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium? Nobody is calling him Barry Bonds, knock it off.
P.S. Black History month was in February.......................
Aaron was never associated with 'roids like those men are now.Gil Dobie wrote:Just wondering why they would move the fence in for a couple years. Watched it as well. Was 10 years old. Braves and Cubs were the only two teams ever on TV.Jjoey52 wrote:I watched it on tv, Al Downing gave it up. Fans ran onto field to shake his hand, would never happen today.

You think Bonds was on 'roids????OL FU wrote:Hank Aaron was my childhood sports hero. The family used to go to about 25 braves games a year in the 60's and early 70's. Had stopped making the trip by 74 but still watched them on TV. IMHO, Aaron is still the home run king.

I was stationed in Spain that day...no live American TV...but I heard about it on AFN-Spain....AZGrizFan wrote:Watched it as well. Was 10 years old. Bonds absolutely used Steroids, hence on the fake power player list with McGwire, Sosa and Clemons. Bonds was an all-time great player before he used roids, but his records are tainted.dal4018 wrote:You think Bonds was on 'roids????OL FU wrote:Hank Aaron was my childhood sports hero.
