I didn't see it (no cable), so I have no opinion, but my FB feed has been on fire about this.

HUGE PI no call on Seattle, then an OBVIOUS interception by GB is ruled a catch and TD for Seattle. The GB guy had both arms, ball against his body...while the Seattle guy only had a hand and part of an arm on the ball. What a fucking joke.
Fuck the refs, fuck the NFL, and the biggest FUCK YOU goes out to the NFL owners, players, and REFS for not getting a deal done so we have this shit.
Disgraceful, is what it is.

Spend the 20 bucks or whatever it is and get cable or dish or whatever. Skip 5 fast food lunches or 7 of those morning coffees and it is payed for.

Eh, people will complain about the refs, but it's ironic that people will say that Green Bay got jobbed and the replacement refs are terrible, when just a few years ago, with the NFL's best crew in a Super Bowl apparently jobbed Seattle through a series of awful calls.
John Gruden calling the call as "tragic" has to be one of the most overstated comments I have ever heard. Oh, Linda Cohn now calling it "depressing" ranks up there too.

Ahh.. I see. I am a Bengal fan so I don't have a fight in this game, but this is a joke. If you think that this is justice in some way, you obviously are no better than spanos.

I think I'll take L-Co over GF any day of the week.
In any event, I think that the issue at hand here isn't so much the presence of the scabs, but the ego that brought them here. Namely the out of control Roger Goodell. We knew he was just into ego when he made up his mind about the NO case before he even met with anyone. Now this. I think that it just might be time for the league to cut ties with this megalomaniac before he turns the NFL into the USFL....

Is it Goodell or is it the owners? I heard it was the Owners.

I don't think it's justice at all, I just think it's a case, just like we have with regular officials, of guys making bad calls. Just last year we had story after story about how bad the regular officials are. Now that they are on strike and we have scab refs, all the talk is about how we have to have those guys back and how great they are. People have short memories - the regular refs being locked out now have bungled calls to cost games before. People are just being bigger crybabies now because it makes for great tv.

Oh...yeah. Sure. Apparently you haven't watched any games the past 2 weeks. It has gotten worse and worse. If you like the drama, great for you. You obviously don't care about calling the game correctly. Next week will be great for you. I bet you will be just giddy with all of the BS that the NFL has become.
Luckily I won't be watching any. Fuck the owners and the Refs.

I love how people are griping about GB having to come out for the extra point and saying they've never seen anything like it before. Yet, in the same breath, some people comment how the same thing happened in a Bills/Patriots game less than 10 years ago (and the one team didn't come out and the offense ran a two point conversion). Some people don't watch enough football apparently, but that happens when you are searching for hyperbole.

There's that angle, too, Grizza. Goodell is a pro-owner stooge, but he DOES have an ego of his own. Hence his mishandling of the NO case. I think that takes precedence here, too, since it's hard to believe that owners enjoy getting screwed over by scab officials. I could be wrong, though.

I'm sure the NFL's viewing numbers will plummet now - people are sure to be done with the NFL now.
What's the over/under on the number of weeks, whenever the regular refs come back, that it takes for people to start griping about the rotten calls the regular guys make? I'm sure it will be "tragic" and "depressing" when that happens too.

Nothing, I repeat, nothing, will make up for that superbowl shitshow. Those refs should have been fired right after the game.
