To take it a step further, they barely get compensated, get almost zero attention any other time, and have no true league to call their own. And yet, in all their interviews, they talk about playing for pride and country and the "American Way." I mean they epitomize what sports should be about, are role models to young men and women, and are a bright spot in a time where America is struggling...and yet people still bitch and disrespect them. And here we wonder why our country is in the shitter. Maybe part of it is our crappy attitude?

PLEASE spare us a speech on how women are treated here you muslim scum.

The only interesting thing about USA vs. Japan is that I work in a Sushi restaurant where the servers are white and speak predominantly English, and most of the sushi rollers are Japanese and speak predominantly Japanese. :argue: :poke: :D

so enjoying watching young, fit women is considered gay.

but enjoying watching men in tight pants, where a central part of most every play features one guy bent over, with another guy sidling up behind him, reaching between his legs, and grabbing balls....
isn't gay?

It's not hard to have a buddy register your ESPN account for the remote access so you can use it. I have done it multiple times.

There aren't many things I like less than soccer, but the WWC has me interested and watching.

Does the US have a legitimate chance to win this?

The US has won two WC titles, the last two Olympic gold medals and is ranked #1 in the world. Yeah, they might have legitimate chance.

What CitGrad says plus the US is something like 22-0-3 against the Japs.

German women had never lost to a team from the whole continent of Asia. Then got beat by the Japs.

We're obviously the favorites, but..... I don't think our 22-0-3 record means much for this game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Japan wins. Combination of skill and quake karma.

I love WWII.

This one isn't Japan-related, but it's my favorite from the era. I think they should put it over the non-HOV lanes in all major cities:
