It should have been even worse than a four-point game. Iowa was at least two touchdowns better than South Carolina tonight, but the zebras were trying to hand it to the Gamecocks on a silver platter. At one point, Caitlin Clark was fouled in the corner, but the refs chose to ignore it and award the ball to SC. Later on, SC's top player literally threw Clark across the court, but they called Clark for a foul. Completely bogus. I don't know if they were incompetent, were working under orders, or were paid off, but they had no business being out there. It was as bad as that umpire calling the strike with the ball around the batter's shoelaces a couple of weeks ago. SMH....

This was one of the dirtiest games I've ever seen. It seems to be a hallmark of SEC play, and the officiating seems dead set on enforcing SEC wins in title games. I've never seen an elbow as bad as the one that almost knocked out an Iowa player in the post. And then Kim Mulkey had the audacity to challenge a non-call on a play that wasn't anywhere near as bad as what her own dirty player did. And that supposed T on Caitlin Clark? She didn't do a stinking thing to warrant a T. Those refs were either incompetent or they were paid off....

Kim Mulkey is taking heat for her behavior (not to mention that of her dirty team) during the National Championship game.

I found it amusing how many people were complaining about the "high" number of fouls in the women's title game. There were 37 combined fouls (both teams under 20), which isn't that high for a women's game and is probably below average for, say, a Big Sky men's game where teams routinely go over 20. I didn't watch the first half, but I thought there should've been more fouls in the second half than there were. Players were getting absolutely clobbered on most every possession, yet the refs were only blowing the whistles on about half of them.
