NAU cut it to 9, but by then it was too late. Sacramento State wins by 13 and clinches their first-ever DI NCAA appearance for either men or women.

Title Game Result

  • SAC 76-63 NAU; Jordan Olivares, the lone holdover from the Harkleroad regime, scored a game-high and career-high 26 points
_________________ Olivares scored in double figures in 3 of Sac's last 5 games after not scoring in double figures once previously over the last two seasons
_________________ The Lumberjacks went 1/14 in the decisive second quarter
_________________ The Hornets won by double digits even though Dean & Natabou had their lowest combined scoring total of the season (24 pts.)
_________________ Sac had 0 bench points for the second-straight game
_________________ Regan Schenck had 12 points in her final Big Sky game, but she went 4/17 from the field (2/12 inside the arc)

The Hornets went through the tournament field like a hot knife through butter proving we were the best team all season long. Amazing run, what a turnaround under Campbell. :notworthy: 8-)
