MSU 86-88 EWU (OT); Linton Acliese scores 38, the most points for any Big Sky player this season
NAU 67-68 PSU; Vikings win turnovers 24-12
UMT 76-82 IDA; The Vandals shoot 60% from the arc, their highest mark in 2 years
UNC 58-61 ISU; The Bengals pull it out after blowing a 13-point lead
SAC 50-65 WEB; The Hornets shoot 26% in the second half
Seems like home court is becoming a big factor again.

Griz have begun playing like last year’s team….can’t beat the bottom dwellers. Can’t hold a lead.

Weber had the Lady Hornets number this year. Hope we avoid them in the first round at Boise.

I’m done with the Griz team this year. A team that for all intents and purposes should be in first place has lost four games they had no business losing. Jekyll and Hyde team that’ll be making an early exit from the tourney and staying home for the spring.

Hornet men hold on at home against EWU. Good to see the seniors and Laird's staff get a win in their last game in the Nest.

Idaho State has clinched a share of the title, but they haven't quite clinched the #1 seed.
ISU & MSU have both clinched byes.
SUU hasn't technically clinched a bye, but the path for them not getting a bye is very convoluted & therefore unlikely.
The bottom four have all been eliminated from bye contention.
Portland State clinched last place a while ago.

I'd like to see us get down to ten teams. Heck, I'd like to see EVERY conference have ten teams (for hoops). That's best for scheduling purposes, and if every conference had ten, everyone could be done at the same time and run their conference tournaments in the same window. As it stands, the Atlantic Sun and the WCC are done (I think), but we're still playing (two games left). That sort of thing leaves things confusing.

(Nine teams works better for football, but ten is close enough. Nine allows eight conference games with three or four OOC games, depending on the year. Ten teams for hoops enables an eighteen-game double round robin, which is perfect, IMO. With ten teams, one can drop a team for football on a rotating basis every year, so that one doesn't have to go years and years without seeing any particular conference foe, and it leaves room for making one's most bitter in-conference rival the last game of the year, like the Causeway Classic and the Brawl of the Wild. And if every conference were like that, it would put everyone's season in the same window, so we're all ready for the playoffs at the same time. But I'm old school. Just say "Shut up, SH." It's OK. LOL....)

The Bobcats clinch a share of the title if they beat Suutah Tuesday.
The top four are all alive for at least a piece of the title.
MSU plays SUU and SUU plays Weber, so one of those three is guaranteed at least 14 wins (that eliminates UM from the title race).
All five byes have already been clinched (UM swept both EWU & PSU).
PSU & EWU are guaranteed to be the #6 and #7 seeds.

The Bobcats will share the title with ISU if they win at NoCo Friday.
If MSU beats NoCo, they will win the tiebreaker for the #1 seed unless Idaho & Montana both win.
Southern Utah has clinched the #3 seed because they can't win a tiebreaker with MSU.
There are two byes left: one will go to either NAU or Idaho, and the other will go to either Montana or Sac.
The NAU/IDA bye is simple: whoever wins their head-to-head matchup gets it.
The UMT/SAC bye is not as simple: Montana will get it unless they lose to Sac and MSU loses to NoCo (Sac needs ISU to finish alone in first).
Northern Colorado has clinched the #8 seed.
EWU swept Weber, so they have the advantage for the #9 seed.
