UD finally fired Monte Ross.

Da fuq? Didn't they just give him a contract extension?

They must've known I was going to the focus group meeting tonight haha.

Long overdue, hopefully they'll make a good hire & give the program a bigger budget. There are some rumors circulating that UD may be looking to leave the CAA as well with hoops & their Olympic sports - should be an interesting few months.

Regardless this program is in completely sorry shape for the near future. 2016-17 will be an abysmal year, but the future just got brighter.

Leave the CAA for what?

I've heard overtures for the A-10. Problem is the A-10 already has 14 teams so unless someone is leaving are they willing to goto 16? Ironically, UD was invited 25 years ago to join the A-10 and declined in one of the more stupid moves in college sports history.

Didn't think A-10 wanted new members who had football. First I heard of that rumor.

Yep, we're not short of that. We get the best womens hoops player on Earth & we get one Sweet 16 appearance & right back to mediocrity. We make the 2007 Lax Final Four & then the program goes into freefall. Teams that didn't exist years ago zoom right past us in football & now play FBS.. Do I need to go on?
