Andre Nation pretty much did it all in James Madison's first-round NCAA tournament win on Wednesday night. The freshman became just the ninth player with at least 14 points, seven rebounds, five blocks and four assists in the tourney since 1986. Here's a look:

JMU actually has a pretty good long ago NCAA tourney history. Went to NCAA tourney 3 straight years 81'-83' under Lou Campanelli:
1981 (48 teams)
1st round beat Georgetown 61–55.
2nd round lost to Notre Dame 54-45.
1982 (48 teams)
1st round beat Ohio State 55-48.
2nd round lost to UNC 52-50 (UNC team with then Fr Michael Jordan that went on to win the NC).
1983 (52 teams)
1st round beat WVU 57-50.
2nd round lost to UNC 68-49.
1994 (under Lefty Driesell)
1st round #3 seed FL 64, #14 seed JMU 62. FL went on to Final 4.
Tonight ups JMU's record to 4-4 in the NCAA Tourney. Will be back to a game under 500 by Fri night...

Of the four FCS teams who have completed games thus far, only one survives... Butler. They held off Bucknell 68-56.
Meanwhile, Davidson choked in the final minutes against Marquette.

Watching the Zags and Jags. Gottlieb's GU hate hits new levels as after a Jag's blocked shot he exclaims "they don't have athletes like that in the WCC!" What a douche.
On a side note to TJ and AZ, I'm appreciating the sexual chocolate emanating from the Southern cheer squad.

3 survived - JMU & NC A&T(sure they were round 1 games but they won)

Yeah, he has a vendetta against certain teams and conferences. He didn't think Nova should have even made the tourney this year.

Southern couldn't take Gonzaga down, and lost.
On to NC A&T, South Dakota State, Harvard and Montana...

go figure i thought with all the hype the Oregon Ducks were getting, they would falter. But they looked dominant throughout. Should be a great game between them and SLU.

NC A&T and South Dakota State were blown out by their higher seeded opponents.
Harvard leads the Lobos 31-27 at halftime.
Montana, however, is down by double digits.

That's not the issue; UM almost beat CSU in their first game without Cherry (& Weber beat an A-10 team & just plain humiliated Cal Poly last night).
Montana just doesn't look prepared at all, and everyone on the team seems desperate to have someone else shoot the ball (except Cherry, who's acting like his teammates are invisible). Syracuse is playing a good game, while Montana is playing perhaps their worst game of the season.

You sure they sent the bball team and not the bowling team?

You think this game would be closer if they played again tomorrow night? I guarantee it wouldn't

So, you think Syracuse would beat Montana by 50 every single time?
Syracuse wouldn't even beat Idaho State that bad every time. The gap from near-top to near-bottom in men's college basketball just isn't that large.
