The first number is conference winning streak, the second is overall winning streak. If the streaks are identical, only one number is listed.

That is some good stuff, Ryan.

The Montana men are definitely starting to play better ball. If they can play to their capabilities, they could contend.

Well, they're gonna have at LEAST 4 conference losses (2 Weber, 2 PSU), so they've got a shot, but it's a long one.

Dude, does Sherri Murrell know you're stalking her?
But seriously on the women's basketball front, what the hell has happened to Montana State? Getting swept by the (seemingly) two worst teams in the conference isn't a good way to get back to the BSC title game.

Well at least we don't have to worry about Sac St winning it...for either side.

I typically see her about once a year. This year will mark twice (first time since her UOP days that's happened) since PSU's already been to UOP and will be making a trip to Sac in Feb.

Jesus, the Griz suck. I'm really not sure Tinks is the right guy to coach that team....

The Griz likely won't find anyone better. The men's basketball program, while decent, has
never been a model of excellence; even Montgomery never made the NCAA's at UM. The program has just 7 NCAA appearances & just 2 NCAA wins in the last 34 years. I guess that's not bad by mid-major standards, but it isn't great either. Tinkle isn't as good as Krystkowiak, but he's still better than Holst & Kennedy.
This year's Griz team has shown ability, but still lacks cohesiveness (only five players played minutes last year). Also, for some reason, Jordan Hasquet just can't shoot anymore. If he comes out of the slump and Elgin-Taylor picks up where he left off before the suspension/academic uncertainty, things should improve offensively & the Griz will be dangerous. If those things don't happen, then 8-8 looks pretty likely again.
On the plus side, the Lady Griz are dominating. They've improved the defense from last year and they're outscoring their Big Sky opponents by 21 a game. At this point, PSU looks to be the only remaining opponent that can even keep Montana from emptying the bench in the second half.
