Hope UNC will keep it close.
I said that the game was PART of the battle for 2nd place.native wrote:The Big Sky portion of the Top 25 analysis is pretty weak.
Montana (3-0), Weber (4-1) and Northern Arizona (3-1) are currently 1-2-3 in Big Sky conference standing. Eastern Washington (3-2) is in FIFTH place due to its two conference losses and is currently competing with Montana State (3-1) for FOURTH place in the Big Sky.
EWU and MSU are NOT competing for 2nd place as claimed, at least not this week!
I hate the software. Still trying to toy with it.mcveyrl wrote:FCS Update wrote:http://www.championshipsubdivision.com/ ... -for-1024/
Nice picks. Is there a way to change the format? It makes my eyes hurt...

Montana is the obvious leader.
Then Weber/MSU/NAU. Weber already lost to MSU and still has Montana and NAU. So MSU gets the nod over them. NAU's only loss is to Montana in OT, so they're my favorite for 2nd place right now. EWU is a good team and a win drops Montana State. So I'd say they're part of the equation.
That was not an edit. You can ask Chris or anyone else with access. You just have poor reading skills.native wrote:FCS Update wrote:

The most likely scenario is for UM/WSU/NAU to finish 1-2-3, in exactly the same position they are today.
Weber is the only team besides Montana that can possibly win the conference outright, regardless of whether or not another team falters, if they beat their 3 remaining conference foes.
NAU or MSU could possibly win a share of the title by winning out, but only if other teams falter.
Face it:THIS WEEK, Montana State is playing EWU in Cheney for FOURTH place in the Big Sky.
The best that MSU or EWU can do THIS WEEK is knock the other team out of contention for second place, not lock down second place.
I'm not sure I have to "face" anything. These are my predictions, aka my opinion.native wrote:

Honestly there just isn't much to say about the Big Sky this week. If you notice, I don't REALLY say much about any game. I've seen a lot of Big Sky games due to their free access, so it's not because I don't pay attention/care.native wrote:FCS Update wrote:...

Probably so! In that case, my apologies for challenging your integrity.

But it sure was fun to use that little stick smilie!
I am not counting out Montana State. They have as much of a chance as Weber to knock off Montana and could end up winning the conference title.![]()
Sorry, but the Big Sky portion of your top 25 analysis was weak, misleading and incomplete.
You did a good job by starting a couple of great threads.FCS Update wrote:Honestly there just isn't much to say about the Big Sky this week. If you notice, I don't REALLY say much about any game. In my view the MSU at EWU game is the biggest contest in the BSC this week because it is the most consequential. I honestly don't know who to pick.
It has been fun to be a rascal. Thanks for being a good sport.
