I'd really like to see SDSU make it in (as long as UNI is also in, and especially in the scenario where UNI beats SDSU, and the Jacks beat the Salukis. but anyway). It's always good to see more conference-mates in the playoffs.Thumper 76 wrote:I have a question for you older, wiser, more knowledgeable posters on this board. I see all these predictions here and on the unmentionable site, and they all have 3 MVC teams in with SIU, SDSU, and UNI. But then I go and look at the MVC conference teams boards and threads where they talk about it, and they all say no way that the MVC gets in 3 teams. What really do you think happens here. If SDSU pulls off a 8-3 year by beating either UNI or SIU, does the MVC get in 3 teams or does one team get the shaft (most likely SDSU)? And if so, what teams should I hope loses to improve the chances of a third MVC team? I was thinking like a UD and UMass choke job to happen or something?
That's what it looks like to me as well. It will probably end up being 2 BSC and 2 MVFC's when it's all said and done.DJH wrote:I think it is more of a case of all three teams would be in if the playoffs started now. I believe only two will make it, but as of right now, none have played their way out yet. Those types of things will shake out in the next 2-3 weeks.
What do you find amusing?Col Hogan wrote:![]()
A teams record doesn't really influence where they get sent (unless they land a top 4 seed).slycat wrote:SFAs getting fucked if they have to go to Montana. I know the Jacks don't have shit to put up to host, but if they keep playing the way they are, its messed up to send them up there.
Well unless they get into seed range then I don't see how it's gonna change much unless they were to send SDSU here and I would bet that SDSU would be real excited to have a home playoff game and would put a real good bid in to make sure they hosted a 1st round game.slycat wrote:SFAs getting fucked if they have to go to Montana. Probably the fact that there are at least two CAA teams not listed that would wax half the teams listed.dbackjon wrote:What do you find amusing?Col Hogan wrote:![]()
And which two would that be? You honestly think the CAA should get 5 of the 8 at larges?93henfan wrote:Probably the fact that there are at least two CAA teams not listed that would wax half the teams listed.dbackjon wrote: What do you find amusing?
But of course you like it (for obvious reasons), so what does our opinion matter?
CAA people think they should get 8 of the 8 at-largesdbackjon wrote:And which two would that be? You honestly think the CAA should get 5 of the 8 at larges?93henfan wrote:

If the playoffs started today, absolutely. Of course, the CAA could very well knock several of their brethren out of contention by the time the committee meets.dbackjon wrote:And which two would that be? You honestly think the CAA should get 5 of the 8 at larges?93henfan wrote:

prime example of CAA homerism and arrogance.93henfan wrote:If the playoffs started today, absolutely. At this moment I have 3 in. I can't imagine I will still have 3 in at the end.Thumper 76 wrote:I have a question for you older, wiser, more knowledgeable posters on this board. I would guess that a 5th CAA team will replace the 2nd Big Sky or 3rd MVFC team. Keep in mind that this is if the season ended now, not a predicition of how it will end.93henfan wrote:Probably the fact that there are at least two CAA teams not listed that would wax half the teams listed.dbackjon wrote: What do you find amusing?

And how the hell is that any different than the other conferences? Weber State would have taken out all but one team from the CAA from what I saw from last year.93henfan wrote:If the playoffs started today, absolutely. it might but the committee may try to change it up a bit and end the annual UNH/UNI matchup in the early round.UNHWildCats wrote:South Carolina State @ (1)Richmond

Wouldn't it make more sense to put NAU at McNeese and New Hampshire at UNI?
True but if SFA goes 9-2 and wins conference I think they deserve more then the SLC death sentence in the Zoo.JayJ79 wrote:A teams record doesn't really influence where they get sent (unless they land a top 4 seed).slycat wrote:SFAs getting fucked if they have to go to Montana.
