Whenever I cook on the grill during the summer, if I step away to get another beer or take a piss I will ask Mrs. Cobblestone to watch the grill for me. If the burgers, steak, hot dogs, ribs or whatever is starting to get overdone she will yell to me that the food is starting to look like the URI secondary.
Two QB's throw for 100+ yards on us today! Two! That is pathetic! And one guy only threw about 5 or 6 passes. Hofstra pretty much passed on us at will.
On offense, we need a running game and we need one badly. Our entire backfield couldn't even combine for 100 yards rushing. It was good to see CP back at QB again but he can't be expected to do it all. Our receiving game isn't bad but there is little to no balance with our running game. Once again our offensive line mastered the art of penalties.
This game looked like it would be a blowout but we came back pretty nicely in the 4th quarter. Once again it was too little too late. We need to get out of the starting block qucker, cut down on the damn penalties and START TO COVER RECEIVERS!

That is pretty funny about your wife, but it's obvious that the loss of Casey really really hurts. CPE looked okay but missed on a few passes where he was moving around. Understandable though having just come back from the knee injury. Defense played hard though, shit, we couldn't punch it in from the 1 late in the game and then our crappy QB fumbles the exchange on 4th down.
Like i say with our team, when your offense can score you some points and take pressure off, defense tends to play more relaxed and better. We put so much pressure on our defense, they press and give up too many big plays. A lot of improvement necessary for both teams yesterday.

Nice to see you (and your wife) have maintained your sense of humor over the whole thing.

So far this season, your wife could say "the meat looks like the JMU secondary." FYI to all other defenses: the bend but don't break pass coverage theory should not include passes into the endzone or past that little orange thing with chain attached to it.

Hey! Don't give her any credit! She's a UMASS grad.
