I don't know what it is with El Cid. They seem to start out each season with a little promise, but get worse and worse as the year goes on. Might be time to make a change in Charleston.

From the Cat board. If this is true, it's a shame. No matter the team, bitter rival or not, WCU deserves better.
edit: I've removed the copy from the Cats board, as the OP requested it there and elsewhere.

If that is true, Wagner should be fired tomorrow.

If true he should be fired tonight. Former player or not, that messed up.

Technically he can't be fired until Monday as WCU is a state university, but yeah.
Word is that Wagner has been alienating people left and right and the WCU Pride board has been saying just as such so it looks like Wagner just snapped (if it's true).
Sucks for WCU as this is their biggest win in 3+ years and now this comes out.
This was also on the Pride Board.
My name is Tim Mayse Sr. You can read my son's post to view the events. I have been in education and coaching for 41 years and I have never heard or seen a coach conduct himself like Mr. Wagner. He does not deserve to be called "coach", because no man grabs a student or any fan. My son did not curse, agitate nor demean anyone. He was a guest of his brother, a former 4 year letterman, all conference etc. But it wouldn't have mattered if he was simply a fan. No one should be assaulted by another, let alone a representative and an "example" of an institution. For yelling encouragement and asking"where's Wagner", he was grabbed by his coat and jerked off 5 sets of steps and cursed at by Mr.Wagner. As a current education administrator, I can assure you that such an individual would be fired immediately. I have supported this institution both with my presence and my contributions. I have directed athletes to WCU. Not only will these activities cease immediately, but I will do all I can to educate the world{ thankyou internet} that WCU is to be avoided. I will go to every website to retell this story. Excuse this rant, but above all I am parent. To Mr.Wagner : I will come one more time and give you a chance to repeat your behavior with a real coach.

The wheels are completely off our program right now. Two straight games we have played with no heart, no fire. We have never had so many good athletes on one team before. This team has more and better athletes than the 1992 team, yet we cannot do anything on offense the last two weeks.
I have never heard El Cid faithful calling for the coach's head before, but our message board is full of it tonight. We have had winning seasons with nowhere near as many good athletes. I have never seen an El Cid team underachieve like this.

They need to schedule App later in the year....they seem to implode after their annual beating by App...

You better make sure Harvard beats Princeton -- by at least 31.

After yesterday, I'll settle for beating them by 1!
Congrats to WCU. citdog is out at St. Mary's Convent recruiting a new O-line.

The best thing that ever happened to the SoCon was when we fired Charlie Taaffe and scrapped the wishbone. (Well, next to Marshall leaving and subsequently sucking ass)

I was certain we'd get beat by Lafer - but 28 - 3 at the half..!!!
But please keep in mind: You have Citdog stirring things up on your side, which will make losing on this site more interesting - he brings out the best in people
