Hmmm - SFA (23) beat McNeese (15) who beat App State (10). By that logic, NCCU should be top 5!!!

Hey AZGrizFan,
Your poll is the first one that I've seen that doesn't even include Jacksonville State. Is this an oversight or did you have some reason for being the only person I've seen that totally ignores them? Let's review their record:
game 1: vs FBS ranked GA Tech loss 37-17 (with their 2nd string QB)
game 2: vs FBS (preseason ranked-don't remember at time of game) FL State 19-9
with note FL State was behind until the last 35 seconds of the game
game 3: win AL A&M 45-13
game 4: win Nicholls State 60-10
game 5: win Univ of TN-Martin 52-7
game 6: win Murray State 41-7
QB Ryan Perriloux is ranked top in Passing Efficiency among both FBS and FCS teams
Just don't understand your rationale for not even putting them in the Top 25????

Why is almost everyone dropping off Furman? They did lose but it was an almost win against #9.
Furman led 12-10 until Adam Shreiner's 37-yard field goal gave Elon (4-1, 2-0 Southern Conference) a 13-12 lead with 2 seconds left. Shreiner's kickoff was fumbled in the end zone and Elon's Travis Greene recovered it for a touchdown for the final score.

Furman actually stayed the same in my poll, but that's only because people above them lost.
Besides, JMU had an almost win against UR (5 yards away). Where'd you put us?

You SERIOUSLY think Prairie View, Colgate and HC are better than EWU, Montana State and NAU? That anyone of those teams could hang with Montana?

Who's to say they aren't Jon? See this is where I don't get you. Colgate has shown before that they can make it to the national championship before while coming out of what you perceive to be a weak division. Yeah, they tend to get beat in the first round when they make the playoffs, but I don't see NAU making out of the first round anytime recently. I see where you're coming from with Prairie View as they can't be in the playoffs so why on earth would you rank them
I do like how you have NAU ranked ahead of two Big Sky Schools that have better conference records than you though and one with a better GPI if you want to use that stat too, guess NAU has played tougher opponents than them and that close loss should count for something right. I'm not doubting they're in the top 25, but you gotta take off the blinders dude.

JMU DJ - all we can still do at this point is to see how teams are doing, relative to the competition they have played. Colgate, PVAM, et al have not played anyone - I have that at work, and will post on that later.
As for NAU vs other Big Sky? Still a toss up, IMHO - especially 2-5. NAU beat MSU who beat Weber who beat EWU. Those are the only games involving those 4 teams. Only NAU has played Montana so far, and did quite well. Plenty of time to sort that out.
