Which, being still early in the season, you still should start from scratch each week.

It is fun. But is still too early to say "Well, I had this team at #10 -they won, so no one can jump them, etc", especially if the total body of work is not there.

Take App State - they have zero good wins - are they really top 10? Can't say yet. You might put them in, but if they struggle against their next opponent, drop them.

I ended up with 6 new teams. I had 3 teams drop more than 10 spots. 3 teams moved UP more than 8 spots. I actually had two teams win and DROP. My poll is heavily weighted to the 5 power conferences with 22 of the 25 spots from either the BSC, CAA, MVC, Southland or Great West. There just really seems to be a HUGE gap between the top 5 and the rest.

I had some newcomers as well, and a couple teams made big drops, two completely out of the poll. It was really hard to find teams to fill in 20-25.. just not a lot of great options out there right now.

but a couple border teams are now out and a few other teams are in. I thought it was much easier this week than last week to vote.

True dat! Lots of mediocre teams in the 20-25 range. Hard to pick.

New Hampshire was one of my biggest movers.

... after 18 or so... there are about 10-15 teams with arguable credentials for slots 19-25... none of it pretty...

Something isn't right with my Top 5 teams today (I use a spreadsheet). It was pretty on-mark with other polls last week and for the most part, it seems good this week too (1.Richmond, 2.Montana, 3.N. Iowa, 4.New Hampshire), but for some reason, Jacksonville St. has jumped to #5 and I can't figure out why! Ahhhh, so many numbers!

Post your top 25 so we can see!

Haven't finished crunching in the numbers for the last 12 teams yet. I'll do it later 'cause it takes a bit over an hour for me to find the stats and put the numbers in for that many teams. Hopefully no more problems like Jacksonville St. though!

I would love to see Montana and NH, in the playoffs. In mho they are the top two teams right now. Montana has really proved themselves in the past couple of weeks.

That is where they are now...like I've said elsewhere I still have some numbers and teams to go through.


The 19+ range is just a crap shoot.

I really don't know what to expect out of any team anymore. Richmond is still rolling, but Montana is shaky getting it rolling every game. And all the teams I expected to be right up with Richmond and Montana have lost....Appy, UMass, Nova, JMU

Not sure how you can say UNI played poorly...they put up 42. And then, by the same logic, you have Richmond at #1, when they tried everything in their power to give that game to JMU....
