Portland State @ Northern Colorado

Kickoff scheduled for 1:30 pm MDT from Greeley, Colorado. After last week's loss at Portland to Sacramento State that left the Vikings hurt and demoralized, they try to get a win on the road against the Bears of Northern Colorado, a team that may be more decimated by injuries than the Vikings. The Vikings have not won a conference game on the road since they last visited Northern Colorado in 2007. Since joining the Big Sky, the Bears have never beaten the Vikings. Drew Hubel will start at quarterback for the Vikings, but leading tackler on defense, Erik Pederson, is out with injuries. His twin brother, David Pederson, will start in his place. Vikings running back, Bobby McClintock made the trip, but is listed as questionable. Weather in Greeley is supposed to be windy and snowy with temps in the 20s.

Last year they beat Idaho State. The year before I think they beat Montana State at Greeley, but I might be wrong. I do know they beat the Bengals last year.

Northern Colorado 8
Portland State 7

UNC Askew INT of Hubel pass returned for the touchdown earlier and 2pt conversion good.
Cavanaugh (PSU) 1 yard TD run-PAT good.

PSU has been able to function pretty well in the snow on offense, just the one turnover has hurt so far.

Hubel was knocked out of the game with some sort of leg injury right before the end of the game. No report as to how bad it is. He did try to limp off the field while UNC called time out.
