When captains meet at midfield before today's University of Richmond game at James Madison, the Spiders should say "Thanks" rather than "Good luck."
About this time last season, UR was 4-3 after a 38-31 loss to JMU, which won in the final seconds on a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown by Scotty McGee. The Spiders congregated in a silent locker room. Coaches, trainers and all other nonplayer personnel were asked to leave. More silence.
"Then somebody said, 'Well, what are we going to do?'" recalled UR linebacker Patrick Weldon.
Spiders agreed to rededicate themselves, pay closer attention to detail, play for the entirety of four quarters. They won nine consecutive on the way to the Football Championship Subdivision title, and are 4-0 and ranked first in the FCS heading into today's Colonial Athletic Association meeting with the last opponent to beat them.
Hopefully Scotty can say "You're Welcome" while he runs another one back.

If JMU can limit Ward's passing they have a good shot to win the game. UR's running game isn't what it has been over the past few seasons.. but Ward is good enough to pass them to a win. The key is to get some heat on Ward and contain him at the same time.. but that's easier said than done.

I think I may voimit... I don't know if it's from the quick TD, the two hotdogs I just ate, the bourbon and coke, or if it's from watching this camera feed. Jeeze, does the cameraman have cerebral palsy or Parkinson?

I think Richmond just lost their punter for the year. That looks HORRIBLE.

Short punt by Richmond... looks like their punter got hurt when his own player ran into him.
Punter is still down, he's being carted of the field now. Haven't showed a replay, but the commentators are saying that when he put his left leg in the air, his left foot was to the side... doesn't sound good.
