I would love to find out who the asshole is that keeps voting Montana 1 week in week out. No offense Griz fans, but........ there is just no logic behind that type of vote (should add I know it wasn't a Griz fan who voted it)

Can't stand seeing App State as a Top 10er right now either. They should have to earn that ranking. Which they have done exactly the opposite of this year.

And who the FUCK voted for the Citadel

Montana's resume ain't much worse than Villanovers. Play the worst I-A team in the country, then wins over Lehigh (ahhhhhhhh), Penn (ooooohhhh!), Northerstern (aaaaahhhhhhhh) and Bill and Hillary. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

and yet Villanover gets 33 first place votes and nobody bats an eye.... :shake: :shake: :shake:

Exactly AZ...Griz started up by easily handling a D2 that they were supposed to and then go on the road to beat a Davis team that just lost to the BCS #5 by 18 and beating NAU on the road, which is never easy but if you throw in the CAA vs. Big Sky bias - there is your difference.

Also, why does everyone get worked up by the schedules coming out of OCC play? Most schools play down in their first few games so lets allow conference play to filter out and then we will have more relavent info to vote on.

Arkansas St(1-3) must be a powerhouse, they only lost to Iowa by 3, and they beat Mississippi Valley St by 61 points. :o

I was looking for them to appear in the BCS polls today

Probably people who know more about The Citadel's team this year than you do.

Or, maybe it was the people who predicted a 30 point loss to ASU and are faced with the choice of admitting that they were either (a) idiots about ASU, or (b) idiots about The Citadel.

Which one are you?

you need a C there. People who don't think App State is all that great and don't give a shit if someone goes to overtime with a team that hasn't beaten anyone.

Or Top 5 vs. Top 50 bias?

Do they? Do they REALLY? We beat a D-2 38-0. You beat the worst I-A team in the country by 3.    Sounds like a wash to me. :coffee:

And by what justification does Bill and Hillary "trump" NAU? Oh, wait: They beat a crappy I-A school too....

After watching W&M play Villanova on Saturday I was not that impressed. It could have been that Villanova is just that good on D to make W&M's QB have a bad day but I expected the game to be much closer. Tribe's D is for real and they are a good team but NAU would have scored points on them. NAU is not as good as W&M because their D is not up to par but there is not a huge casm between the two (top 5 vs. top 50) - that is where the CAA/Big Sky baises come in.

That isn't my bias. That is the polls bias. So if that is what you are saying then fine. There is definately some bias. 25 spots of bias? I doubt it though.

I don't think there is 25 spots of bias at all. I was just commenting on people saying that Montana should not be even considered for the top spot and my question is why. Some people voting look at teams, even Montana, out west as inferior due to perceived lack of competition..and I don't agree.

I will agree with that, but I don't think this year is one of those cases. I know we beat "the worst team in 1-A" and an "Overrated W&M" but rigth now I don't think Montana's case is strong enough for a 1 spot. I didn't see anyone on this or any other forum prior to this game giving NAU a shot in hell at anything, so don't think that is bias from us easterners. This week will be a big test. I think Montana wins it, but it will be a test none the less. They are a legit Top-5 team, just don't have the resume for #1, regardless of how you vote.
