No. 17 Eastern enters with a 3-1 record, having defeated Sacramento State (56-30) and Northern Colorado (19-0) in BSC games, as well as Western Oregon (35-14) in non-conf play. The Eagles lost to 10th-ranked Cal (59-7).
Idaho State is 0-4 after coming off a 33-22 loss to NCAA Division II power Central Washington. In the three games prior, ISU was out-scored 158-20. The Bengals lost to Arizona State (50-3) and Oklahoma (64-0) before losing to Weber State (44-17) in the conference opener for both schools.

Bengals fumble on a punt return but recover. Very next play the ISU back fumbles away, EWU recovers.

BS call... Jones had the first down but driven back on his feet. Play never whistled dead and ISU allegedly stripped the ball before Jones hit the ground. ISU ball.

That game was ugly. I was glad to see the majority of our starters pulled out in the 4th. That turf is just horrible, we always seem to come out of there with injuries. Luckily, seems like we fared well in that department.

ISU seemed to be the team struggling with injuries in that game.
