Southland:
Central Arkansas - (2-1 0-0) I think that 2009 will show that Central Arkansas is once again the best team in the Southland. I think McNeese St will get the auto bid. Two solid FBS performances for the Bears so far.
Wins: @ Western Kentucky 28-7 ,Glenville State 24-10
Losses: @ Hawaii 25-20
McNeese State - (3-1 0-0) McNeese is almost undefeated. A close loss to Tulane tonight was a minor setback. How can you argue with beating App st in Boone? Same way they almost lost at home to a D-II school.
Wins: Henderson State 27-24 ,@ Appalachian State 40-35 , Savannah State 56-0
Losses: @ Tulane 42-32
Texas State - (2-1 0-0) Hard to put these guys in their place. Sub D-I win, poor FCS win, and a drubbing from a ranked FBS team. Plenty of games to make their mark.
Wins: Angelo State 48-28 , Texas Southern 52-18
Losses: @ No. 15 TCU 1-1 (0-0) L 56-21

Read my post re: the TCU game. They kept their 1's in while we rotated our 2's. TCU is top 15 what are Hawaii, Tulane and WKU ranked? Difference hit in the D due to depth (ie: schollies). TCU was 35 -21 at the end of 3. Know the opponents and the games before passing such judgement. And while you're at it, Glenville State by only 2 TD's? Who the hell is Glenville State? Henderson, Savannah? Come on, we all have our cupcakes. And how is App actually doing so far this year?
Don't count us out so soon. We don't hit conference for another 2 weeks.
FYI - TCU is 3-0 (0-0)

Where did I count you out? I just said it's hard to tell what's going on with you guys. I think you could easily interchange any of the 3. We're too early in the season and they've all played an odd schedule. Things will get much clearer in the next few weeks.

ok...just keeping an eye out for my boys
Yes, strange things happening in the SLC. Well, I am a bit tired too. Got stuck in a traffic jam (that had
nothing to be causing the backup) for more than 2 miles, coming home and I am wiped out.

SFA may make some noise as well. SLC is known for crappy defensive play and SFA is loaded on offense.

Not ineligible for the Top 25.

You are correct, they can still do us a favor and beat everyone and we get the title.

Exactly. Stephen F Austin may join the group this week.

SFA games and opponents
SMU FBS 2-1
O - 26
D - 98
Texas College - NAIA Independent
No stats available but it ain't pretty
SFA won big (overkill), TSU beat them big (75-6), we beat TSU pretty handily (52-18)
WIU FCS 1-2
O - 41
D - 101
NDU FCS transitional 1-2 (win against 0-4 NWS)
O - would rank in the low 90's
D - would tie them at 118 with N AZ
Yep, good numbers against really stellar teams.
Not saying ours are much better but you can't rank a team on OOC play.
ASU DII - 4-1
O - 44
D - 33
TCU FBS 3-0
O - 28
D - 12
TSU FCS 1-3
O - 76
D - 80

Good luck. We'll know soon enough. There are a bunch of good games in the Southland over the next few weeks.
P.S. Of course you can rank teams based on their OOC play!

They have a bye week

and things in the conference can change, even when teams don't play.
You should really calm down a bit. You've been kinda different lately.

Go ahead, rank 'em as high as you want. Just know that when it counts at the end, they will just take a knee and play for OT.

That's just hilarious and getting really old. You do realize that the coach we have now is the only one that dared argue with Baliff about that. He wanted to go for it, so that isn't going to happen on his watch.

I say rank'em all and rank'em high. All it does is boost our ranking if we win and not hurt us much if we lose. Plus the good RPI is a plus. It helps get an at large as well.
