What a great game to watch. NAU hits a 47 yarder to force OT. Montana scores on the first play of
OT. NAU takes it to the 3 on their first play, but second play is intercepted.

Yeah, that was the first TO of the game, too.
That's the best I've seen NAU play the Griz under Souers. I'm not sure if they're a decent team this year, but they played like it today.

More like heartbreak for those of us not griz fans....Perry was in bounds the whole f'ng way, called out at the two, absolute bullshit. Video screen only confirmed it, allowing the Griz to get out with the win. Hats off to them, they played a great game, but its a whole fucking lot harder to congratulate someone when the refs help them out.

From the feed it looked like he definitely stepped out once, if not twice...is the jumbotron really that clear?

From the replay on TV it looked like he stepped out.

Camera on jumbrotron was right behind him....absolutely did not look like he went out. Of course I freely admit I'm biased in this, but the replay shown in stadium had him in bounds. Maybe a different look had him out, but from our perspective he was clean in.

I was watching the stadium feed as well or at least that is what I think bigskytv had and he was clearly on the white. The NAU announcers were commenting that they kept showing it on the jumbotron and didn't know why. If you guys want to feel like you got robbed by the ref then feel free to do so but he was out and that is pretty clear. In spite of that NAU did what they always do and played one hell of a game against us and I will root for them in all other games this year despite whatever ill will or feelings the Jack fans want to point at the Griz after the two teams gave it their all and provided one hell of a game.
I will always pull for our old coach, Jerome is a hell of a nice guy that I used to talk to once in a while outside the Adams Center when I'd see him. Very cool guy that you could walk up to and ask a question about the team we were facing and he would give you a breakdown of what they were gonna try and do to us and how he was gonna stop them.

Well, agree to disagree I guess. You guys thought he was out, we thought he was in, its over now.

Well then I'll see if I can get you a picture. Like I said even you're own broadcast team thought he was out and they were saying that through voices that were about shot due to the excitement and fun they were having during the game. If his foot is on the white he is out. His foot was on the white.
If you want to look for an excuse that one ain't it.

I won't take a side on the controversial play since I was a guest of both Griz and Jacks fans...but I'm here to tell you that was one hellva game...
And for those who predicted that the game would be over 30 minutes after it started...and you know who you are...

...I saw a Lumberjacks team that has the potential to go far into the post season (if they get there)...
Great game...they did not disappoint me...

I knew you being a man of integrity like you are would come away with a new appreciation for what a lot of Griz fans tell people is a conference that can play good football through the top 4 to 6 teams in the conference. NAU is always a tough team to play. They are solid all around and even though they normally go 6-5 or 7-4 they are a real talented team that could beat anybody. I am glad you got to see such a great game Col. and you can see some great, hard hitting football that I am sure you are accustomed to. There was some great offense out there yesterday and you have to figure that Montana and NAU may be the 3rd and 4th best offenses in the Big Sky this year.
I hope that NAU will take care of business the rest of the way and make a real run to the playoffs.
They are a bunch of Salty Dogs down there in Flagstaff.

BYW, who the hell said it would be over 30 minutes after it started? It has to be someone that doesn't watch much BSC football. I can only rule out AZGrizfan as the culprit because to say something like that after two weeks ago talking about how poor the Griz were and couldn't put away another real solid team on the road in UC Davis there is NO WAY IN HELL he could change directions after one win over PSU.

I also heard the comments from NAU's announcers.
Why was the guy running like that anyway? In slow motion it looked REALLY awkward.

Now, now, Josh.

Don't let your youthful exhuberance get the best of you. His heel was clearly out at the three. You can't be "biased" when it's clear as day on the replay. NAU played their best game in years, and probably won't look like that again all year. But then again, when you've been king of the hill for as long as Montana has, you get EVERYBODY's best shot each week.
Well, except Portland State.

Holy shit, no doubt about that. Especially when you're bi-polar huh?

Well, it wasn't on HERE, it was actually in an email to the tailgating group....but I'll take my lumps nonetheless. NAU played a great game....if they play like that all year (which I doubt) they'll make some noise this year.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. They could be very, very good if they don't put all of their mental eggs in this one basket this year. Unfortunately when we get pushed like that and the other team ends up losing they have an exceedingly poor record the following week. I hope NAU gets right back on the horse and fights on.

It was indeed one helluva game!
I thought the OOB call could have gone either way.
EDIT: "The Linesman making the call was on the inside of the field and probably did the best he could. The foot that might have gone out of bounds was opposite from the ref." I was wrong. The linesman was in the correct position.
The outside of the receiver's foot may or may not have barely touched the inside of the sideline, but on the replay all the little black rubber turf sand being kicked up was from the field, not the line.
In any case,
the refs made fewer mistakes than either the players or the coaches!
