I think EWU will win this one, hopefully though their Offense can start lighting up the scoreboard more

I agree with everything you just said.. EVERYTHING
Eastern will win this game.. However, Matt Nichols has got to step his game up. He must make a statment this game and prove that Eastern is THE team this year. The Eagles WILL win, but if they dont, its bc Matt Nichols didnt have a good game.
btw the new all black jersey is sick...

The blame shouldn't be placed all on Nichols. The O-line isn't giving him shit for protection, so he's always scrambling and getting sacked before he can go through his progressions. (Nichols has been sacked 10 times thru 3 games) He needs to accept that the line isn't going to give him much time to throw and get rid of the ball faster on some short slants or screens and get those 5-6 yards instead of the 15-30 he's looking for. I'd love to see some more screen passes to Jones... if he gets a good block, he's good for 6 points.

Jones looks solid. He had a mean move on his long TD (2nd?) run. Very impressive.
This game is in the books. 35-9 at half. Sac is moving the ball quite well considering how bad they have struggled offensively the first two games.

Somehow, by some miracle, EWU didn't score over 60 points. 56-30 was the final.
Just a pathetic performance by the Sac State defense.
At least the Hornets offense finally showed up.

That miracle was Beau pulling Nichols and Jones and putting in Minnerly and Beaumont. Although I wasn't ruling out that Minnerly could put up another 6 he's definitely got some talent which I look forward to seeing next year once he gets more time.
