Which game do you feel will have the biggest upset?

UNI losing to St. Francis...wow that took all my strength to not laugh while typing that, or someone else?

I would like it to be a pick that isn't a iffy/duh pick. I want a legit upset pick

I mean, Talley said himself that his team is overrated...

Elon over Wake probably.

Other than that I don't see many upsets this week. I do think Hofstra may play Richmond tough though.

Portland State over Montana. I was tempted to pick PSU in my weekly BSC picks this week. PSU has the firepower, and Montana doesn't have much of an offense. It's all going to hinge on how well PSU's defense plays, because as good as Montana's is, PSU will put up points. I think it's the most likely "upset."

I think any of these will be in the running, if they happen...

Any one will be the upset of the week...

this is a long shot espeically with the game in missoula. if psu's offense can go off and the d can hold UM to under 30 pts its possible...to be the upset of the week.

I don't know if Wagner over NDSU can be considered an upset

So I'll go with Wofford over Wisconsin, which really wouldn't be an upset either.

Im going to go with PSU as well over Montana. I hate to say it but if the Griz play like they did in the first half against Western State and the first three quarters against UC-Davis The Griz will lose. If Montana is however to get some offense this week i see the Griz winning this one in a good game :twocents:

ODU over Pioneer League Champion Jacksonville.

We are a +22 according to Vegas.

I cannot argue that an upset of PSU over UM is possible; however it is quite a longshot when you consider that our home conference record since 1995 is 52-2. One loss to EWU and one loss to MSU. That is it. Now that is some serious conference dominance!!! I would bet that no team in either the FCS or FBS has a better home conference record over that time period. Pretty remarkable when u think about it! :D 8-)

That's true. But by that logic (which I buy, BTW), the #1 team in the country beating the #5 team in the country shouldn't be an upset, but too many people said it was....

Not sure it can be labeled an upset, but like a few others, I'm pickin' the Vikings over the Griz...

That would be a HUGE upset. I just looked up the line. Betus has Wofford +20.5 right now. 5dimes has them +20.

Why wouldn't that be an upset? PSU doesn't look like anything special.

By my calculation, it's 49-3 (or 50-3 including the playoff win over Weber).

The Griz lost at home to MSU once ('02) and EWU twice ('97, '05) over that span.

That's still likely better than anyone else, though.

I think ODU wins. Not even an upset really. They already have more schollies.

I don't have a clue on why it would/wouldn't be an upset.

I was basing my comment on PSU's performance against the Beavers. Although the Vikings didn't look "special" in that game, they hung with a much better team fairly well.

You must be amnesiac regarding Wofford if you're counting playoffs... :thumb:

I think they were pointing to the only home CONFERENCE losses being to MSU and EWU in that span

Sorry, was the original question asking what game would be the most surprising upset or the upset most likely to happen?

Haha that would be a huge upset...an Ivy team that hasn't even gotten their feet wet and even played a game taking out a top 5 nationally ranked team that already has two games of experience under their belts.

The PSU game could be close but I don't see the Griz getting upset because they always find ways to win. Plus, if it is close it will be because of the matchup problems between PSU's passing attack and the Griz's focus on run stifling defense and if the secondary will be playing so far off their coverage like they did against UC Davis, not because of a stagnant offense. The offense has done just fine in comparison to other FCS schools and I don't believe has been that stagnant overall, just that it has had critical mistakes at critical moments to end promising drives (ie. fumbled exchange when UM had mo against Davis and Mariani fumbling after a long pass completion and it getting returned 40 yards the other way).
