lot of teams in squash match season - although I regret not putting SUU-NAU up as well as Appy vs. bye week state... (i think bye week might put up 17 by halftime)AZGrizFan wrote:Good lord. Are those the best choices we've got this week? No Richmond/UNH or Weber/EWU type game out there?![]()

Ouch. Did this just get moved to "Smack"?TwinTownBisonFan wrote:lot of teams in squash match season - although I regret not putting SUU-NAU up as well as Appy vs. bye week state... the leathernecks are a compelling bunch, i wish we had a few of theirs posting around here to get some insight... the way they shot it out with SHSU makes me wonder if they are playoff caliber... or if SHSU-Huntsville is just all offense no defense 1998 Vikings clone...Ursus A. This is not the game that I am most interested in the outcome however.

I actually skipped over that by accident.Ivytalk wrote:I voted for the Harvard game, just to piss off danefan.
And I've never heard anyone call Holy Cross an "egghead" school. It's an insult to us true eggheads!
It could conceivably have playoff implications for HC. If Harvard wins -- particularly if HU goes on to have a bad year -- and HC doesn't get the PL autobid, a loss to us could have an adverse effect on an HC at-large bid.danefan wrote:I actually skipped over that by accident.Ivytalk wrote:I voted for the Harvard game, just to piss off danefan.

That game actually does have the biggest national implications just because it will definitely effect the polls. No playoff implications, but certainly poll implications.
Shoot, we all know if Harvard wins they're a lock for a top 10 spot next week.
Perhaps, but the way the PL is playing and the number of CAA teams that are likely to be sitting at 7-4 or 8-3 with an FBS win, there's about a 0.5% chance any team from the PL (or any other mid level conference) is getting an at-large.Ivytalk wrote:It could conceivably have playoff implications for HC. You never know in those conferences when a team is gonna just put it together and make a run and I think at least one of those teams will have a lot to do with either making it in or knocking another deserving team out. WIU is especially interesting to me as they are a real "power" football team and if they can score in bunches then they are especially dangerous. I don't consider them powerful because of the way they played against Huntsville but they look like they might have something this year.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:the leathernecks are a compelling bunch, i wish we had a few of theirs posting around here to get some insight... the way they shot it out with SHSU makes me wonder if they are playoff caliber... or if SHSU-Huntsville is just all offense no defense 1998 Vikings clone...Ursus A. If El Cid loses to Princeton the Bulldogs should be excommunicated from the conference.citdog wrote:..this but the best game in the FCS this weekend is The Citadel @ Princeton.
i said FCS - not NAIA...citdog wrote:i wouldn't expect a bleeding gash like twintownshitbag to recognize this but the best game in the FCS this weekend is The Citadel @ Princeton. The ivy league doesn't care to participate in our playoffs, RARELY plays anyone outside of their own league and on saturday they have a chance to prove to all of the FCS that their teams deserve to be ranked in the top 25 by playing a school from the premier conference in the FCS. It is put up or shut up for the ivy league and the game is on yankee territory. With honor, WE will prevail!
