FARGO - North Dakota State University Director of Athletics Gene Taylor announced today the Bison will host Montana State University in 2013 and the University of Montana in 2014 in football.

That will settle this argument, once and for all!!

Yeah looks like I'll be making an appearance in Fargo in 2014 after I graduate this year.

Jesus, I HATE the fact that these games are announced 5-6 years in advance. That's LOT of smack flowing back and forth before the actual game is played....

Why can't we just substitute them for Western State next year and get it over with?

I hope NDSU got a good buyout clause

NDSU is safe, the only way the griz would buy it out is if they had a FBS contract, and we all know that ain't gonna happen.............................

2013, for one game, will be the only time I root for MSU unless they're playing deep in the playoffs. Aside from the GOOD Bison guys that post here (TTBF, Gil, FargoBison), they all need a good reason to stfu. It got old a long time ago. I'm going to be wearing my Griz shit all over Fargo from now until I graduate. I hope I get boo'd like last year.

sadly, I really wish I could disagree with the assessment, but back in the old country our fans really made a poor showing for themselves and talked a lot of smack that Bohl's boys didn't back up. Moreover when the time came for the eating of crow, most of them were MIA or whined like small children rather than simply face up. Our fans have a terrible habit of making a not-so-great first impression (and this includes in the stands at the fargodome - where i've witnessed our fans trash talk when we were losing by several touchdowns)

that said... we aren't alone in this... most of it stems from our epic 07 season when the bandwagon got real crowded... App fans were insufferable that year too (did you know they beat Michigan that year? ) but at least they won the NC...

anywho... welcome - stay around, defend the brand, any Bison fan poking his head out this season is likely a diehard, which usually bodes well.

As TTBF said, just post more and we'll see what kind of fan you really are. I'm sure a bunch of NDSU fans will make their way over here now and the more the merrier.

But when I go downtown in Fargo wearing Griz apparel or my jersey and I get booed, I'm gonna be a little bitter to NDSU fans until they prove themselves otherwise. You don't see people saying shit in Missoula when other team apparel shows up. Hell I see App State, GSU, UNI stuff all over there and nothing gets said. But the minute I put on Griz stuff here in Fargo I might as well be on fire.

Differnet culture here in Zoo town TT. We have one rival and they may get a boo from a few Griz fans that are messing around but they will often get a beer for every boo they recieve. If you come to Missoula repping another team you will find pretty much nothing but Griz fans that want to have a beer and find out more about your experiences and the fun involved with following the team you do. I talked to an App State fan in Red's bar for about an hour one day before I was even on these boards about App and the SoCon. He was very surprised that beer was free in Missoula.

Actually Ann Abor is a very friendly city, and beer would probably be bought for you...along with a new shirt.


Cedar Falls sees Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton, Drake, Montana stuff a lot and nothing is said. No need to yell at someone on the street because of their shirt. That just screams insecurity about your program.

As usual, what AZ says is true!

I've got a huge collection of t-shirts from other FCS, or lower division teams. My collection includes GSU, Delaware, Concordia College, Weber State, Colgate, UNI, App State, and I'm waiting on one from ODU, that should be delivered any day now.

Of those that I have, I've worn them all over Missoula...to practices, scrimmages, the Mall, just about every drinking/eating establishment in town, fishing/hunting shops, and the University of Montana, (Bookstore, ticket office, & coach's offices).

Not ONE, SINGLE TIME, over the years that I've worn them, has ANYONE said anything negative, or derogatory about what ever school was represented by the shirt I was wearing! NOT ONE FUCKIN" TIME!

Two years ago, I wore my ASU shirt to opening day at Washington/Grizzly...a local sheriff's deputy stopped me, and told me his sister lived in Boone...at the Mecca of FCS football, that's the worst thing that happened to me wearing another school's colors...IMO, that ain't too bad, and it does say something positive about a fairly large portion of our fan base!

But I am a bad ass, and a lot of folks don't want to fuck with me...smart move on their part!

I back Grizo and AZ. Missoula is a great place for visiting fans.

NDSU wins all games by 80. Oh wait, I'm not a Bison fan.

I had my Griz sticker on my window in Eastern Washington once with a Bison fan driving by me honking giving me a thumbs down then cutting me off. The majority of those guys have been real douches.

This is great news, can't wait to get the Montana schools here and check out Missoula(especially since I couldn't make it out there the last time NDSU played the Griz).
