I just wanted to see what everyone thinks of the upcoming contest between the Thunderbirds and the Lumberjacks, last year NAU squeaked by with a last second interception in a very tight close fought game. This year we get to travel to Flagstaff after both teams had pretty impressive performances against FBS teams this past week. Im thinking the game will be more the same except SUU pulls out a victory this time and maybe give us a little more hope of getting into the Big Sky

Sagarin gives the Lumberjacks a 13 point edge at home over the Thunderbirds.

I think Sagarin is wrong. I think it will be a great game which will be important to the rest of the season for both teams.

Sagarin still has a weighted average of the past several years as a major component of his scores.

This will be a good test for both teams. SUU has played a DII and a FBS team that was horrid last year. NAU has only played a FBS team that went bowling last year. Who knows how good either FBS team will be this year.

I think NAU will pull this one out at home, but it will be close - touchdown or less.

Correct me if I am wrong, Jon, but NAU historically plays well in early season contests, especially at home.

I expect the 'jacks to win a close one, but if they fail to pull off the "W" against SUU, it could be a very long season indeed.

He picked Weber to beat ISU by 8 points, where has he been? I think ISU will be better this year but not that much better.

On the subject of NAU-SUU, I think NAU will pull it off in another close one.

I would be happy with either team winning though

If Cooper doesnt throw three picks and we start getting better production in the Red Zone i think we have a really good shot, i also think we are finally getting Poots back . And something interesting i found out, NAU leads the series 9-4 but all of SUU's wins have come at Flagstaff

I belive that 8 out of the 13 games have been @ Flagstaff, alot i know when SUU was a D1 Independent for awhile.

I'm jealous WSU isn't play SUU and NAU is. I think this will be a good game and I think we will find out how good SUU is this year. NAU has a solid team sitting just outside the FCS top 25.

I'll be following the score with ESPN mobile alerts - greatest thing since sliced bread for those of us that don't have Internet service on our phones!

I just gave away my USU/SUU game ticket yesterday, lol, sadly I have to go down to southern utah for that weekend so I won't be in attendance to see SUU pull the upset.
