Any poll that has McNeese behind App State has zero credibility

Weber hung with Colo St... and when I voted I NEVER punished a team for an FBS loss.

However - yes Jon the SDSU bit is GLARING
flip mcneese and app and this isn't terrible.

GA South shouldn't be an "other receiving"

I'm pleased that my fellow Bison backers took off the homer glasses and gave not one point to the Bison after that terrible performance at SHSU-Huntsville - also glad Mt. State was punished for that dud against Dixie State

It's about time people stop drooling over Appy State. They do not deserve to be anywhere near the top 10 until they win a game. Appy has little margin for error now if they want to make the playoffs.

Anybody that gave Montana a #1 vote did NOT watch that game Saturday night. They wouldn't be in my top 15 right now. :coffee: :coffee:

I'd like to know who gave GSU votes because I would like to sell some of what they're smoking...

... GSU could also qualify for most significant loss due to the fact that no GSU team had gone without scoring a TD in 14 years and the loss to SDSU was GSU's largest margin of defeat to a 1-AA/FCS team in 14 years both dating back to a 45-0 shellacking to Montana in the 1995 playoffs.

Yeah if the Pokes are going to be that high then swap them. App St is 0-2 for crying out loud.

Homers like Seantaylor.

Perhaps but Montana will breeze through an easy Big Sky conference slate, a weak OOC schedule, have every playoff game at home, regardless of their seed and get to get to the NC, again.

This time though, they will win it.
All they have to do is play one hard game. :geek:

I predict two conference losses, and possibly a loss to Cal Poly. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Your predictiions have always proved very accurate when you make them from the emotional state that you are in currently so I will take it with the appropriate gravity that it should have.

If we play like we did Saturday, Weber waxes the FLOOR with us. Their QB is twice as good as Davis'. And I wouldn't bet against EWU either. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

I believe you said the same thing last year after the CWU, UC Davis games and so forth. We always gain momentum as the season goes on and I see no reason to overreact to the first couple of games without a starting QB picked yet. It's odd that you have watched the Griz as long as you have and didn't notice that this happens all the time. It's also odd that being the semen that you are you are so quick to the ledge and ready to jump ship every year.

Good talk Rusty.

Why? Because of one game? Who knows how good McNeese is. They barely beat a DII last week.

I had McNeese @ #22 after not ranking them last week. I dropped App from #2 to #8. The Mountaineer defense sucked here, but it played decent against ECU. They still have the roster of a very good team, so they shouldn't plummet unless this kind of performance becomes a trend. One high-profile game is too much to base everything on. Elon is probably a better team at the moment (I ranked them #6), but they haven't played anyone good yet.
And SDSU at 18 is a travesty
Travesty is a bit hyperbolic, but I agree there. I had them at #9 (#10 in the preseason). I think they're UNI's chief competition, not SIU.

I'm more confused as to why Cal Poly is ranked so high & why Maine is ranked at all. Don't voters realize how much those two teams lost from last year?

I would have SDSU over SIU right now if I were a pollster, but I don't get the lack of love for the dawgs.

Defending conference co-champs (after being picked to finish fifth) with 17 starters returning? I only heard the Marshall game on the radio but it didn't sound that bad, held them to 76 yards rushing. :flag:

When you do polls, you try to look at trends more so than what happens on one given day. I think SDSU is going to be a top-10, but let them prove it versus Indy State and Illinois State.

Also, keep in mind that if team A must be ranked higher than team B because team A beat team B, it would be beyond impossible to do a poll.
