Montana will move up and so will Harvard (and they haven't even played yet)Chizzang wrote:It's no big deal, you'll still be ranked near the top ten.. (maybe)
Not only 3rd down conversion, but McNeese was 2 for 2 on 4th down conversions.....ASUG8 wrote:Note to self: driving while listening to the final seconds of an App/McNeese game = bad![]()
I was so mad I could hardly see straight - this is the "best team ASU has fielded" and we played like that? Jeez, I could have run all over us and I've been out since '89![]()
Hopefully, from this will come some focus on defense - we have a potent offense and will likely still be in shootouts, but we have to stop all those third down conversions. Props to McNeese for a well coached and played game.
I know you're not the overreacting type Appa and as you know I watched the game and I can see why App fans would have a problem today. You wanna here alarmist you should hear some of the Griz faithful today. We had exactly the opposite thing going on as you guys did and a lot of people want to cry about the lack of continuity on offense when our D played a hell of a physical game. UCD's defense is a real good D and pretty damn physical also and they played a good game but we won on the road and people are still whining. They put the ball in the air 67 time, completed 43 of them and scored 10 points.Appaholic wrote:Not only 3rd down conversion, but McNeese was 2 for 2 on 4th down conversions.....ASUG8 wrote:Note to self: driving while listening to the final seconds of an App/McNeese game = bad![]()

And thanks for the pep talk Ursus...I'm not normally an alarmist, but the total lack of heart displayed by this defensive unit has me scared....we may have reached the point in our success that the youg guys who have never experienced lean years have no idea how to respond to adversity...the nerve of the other team to not lay down for App on their home opener....seriously, not to be too over-the-top, but this was the home opener on our newly renovated stadium that many, and I mean MANY, people have donated and worked hard to provide for this university and this team happens to be the lucky recipients of....and for them to "mail it in" the way they did....well, the defensive unit and coaches should be ashamed of this performance...their response against a decent Samford team will tell whether they care or not....
It's App fucking St. someone will still give them a number 1 vote...Chizzang wrote:It's no big deal, you'll still be ranked near the top ten.. (maybe)
I don't know - I'll let you know in 2033.citdog wrote:what are y'all going to do when you're 0-4?????
you have a game with samford in two weeks which you could very well lose then you come into General Hagood's House.......0-4 is a definite possibility.ASUG8 wrote:I don't know - I'll let you know in 2033.citdog wrote:what are y'all going to do when you're 0-4?????
I don't know how we'll handle it....how do ya'll handle your losing streaks? A voice of experience is needed in this discussion......citdog wrote:what are y'all going to do when you're 0-4?????

Put more than 6 pts on the board and we'll talk about 10/3. It was a nail biter against bye this week, huh?citdog wrote:you have a game with samford in two weeks which you could very well lose then you come into General Hagood's House.......0-4 is a definite possibility.ASUG8 wrote:

the mere fact we play you guys gives us hope that we have time to fix our defense....the same one you scored a total of 7pts against in 1st half last year with AA cadet Roberts & cadet frag arm...
bye has about as good of a defense as Appy does!!!ASUG8 wrote:Put more than 6 pts on the board and we'll talk about 10/3. It was a nail biter against bye this week, huh?citdog wrote:
