Apparently it has been confirmed that RS Soph Josh Collins has been lost for the season to a torn ACL. He was set to play a huge for for UNI this year

A couple of suspensions....and now this...
Get the feeling UNI is really going to have to tighten up the chin straps a little more to have a chance at making the post season...
The suspended ones will come back....this one truly suxs...

Rumor has it UNI's President Ben Allan is going to force the team to drug test, if you fail you get suspended and lose your scholly.
Could be a long year at UNI after such high, no pun intended, hopes.

No offense to that police officer, but that sounds like a bunch of BS to me. A. I dont see how that is even possible for him to do, and B. That would bring more embarassment/public humiliation and attention than there is in the first place. That would big a HUGE mistake, and would ruin the program.

So are you admitting there are a bunch of drug users on the UNI team or are you embarassed for implimenting a drug testing policy? What's wrong with that? Kids are tested in high schools, why not a public university where other people are paying for you to go to college for free?
Sucks for the injury loss, if UNI is a good program, they should have plenty of talent in waiting. Maybe not number one receiver quality, but someone to get the job done.

Um, there are a bunch of pot smokers on EVERY football team. It would embarass the University much much more than a few guys getting busted, simply by doing such a thing.
Since when do they drug test in HS? I played HS football and never took any sort of test.

I know virginia does, every athlete is subjected to "random" testing. I know everybody on our team was "randomly" tested during the season. Don't smoke up during the season, simple enough. You risk embarassing your team anyway.

I know every D3 school in the IIAC is subject to random testing, but how random it was I'm not sure.
