Week 1: Best Match-up

What is the best all FCS match up for Week 1?
List based on playoff/conference race impacts
Not a lot of all FCS games this week - most are playing up or down.
Stony Brook @ Hofstra
Fordham @ Rhode Island
Delaware State @ FAMU
SC State @ Grambling
WIU @ SHSU
Albany @ Georgia Southern
Illinois State @ Eastern Illinois
Alabama A& M @ Tennessee State

Gotta go with Albany-GSU
If GSU loses this game they have a big uphill battle for the playoffs.
Albany needs every OOC win possible to ensure itself an at-large.
Its really the only game this week with any kind of remote playoff implications.

Unless one of the other MVC teams (WIU, ISU) get hot and contend.

Though Albany and GSU may have a bigger impact on the overall season, SC State and Grambling is probably the best overall "Matchup." Both are top 25 (preseason), last years MEAC/SWAC division winners, and the game will be televised on ESPN2 on Sunday the 6th at 2PM... so while everyone is channel surfing on Sunday trying to find something to watch, Grambling and SC State will be on the tube.

I went with the Grambling/SC State game since it'll be the one that I'm at. My conference pride (whatever's left of it) wants Grambling to win, but the rival in me hopes they get beat. I'm torn.

*Note - Colonel Ebirt sucked those purple nuts so hard in the winter of 2004 that he was forced to retire in 2005... at least that's what I've heard.

I didn't think about that, but that isn't my style.
I'll probably be annoying the Grambling fans if the game gets boring.
