Check out our newest fan poll at http://www.smebroadcasting.com. Today’s question:

Which conference shift will be more beneficial to the teams and conferences involved? Please vote on this topic as well as past topics that we have archived. We want to hear from you.

We would also like to announce that this week the SME network will start listing some of our new football content. Tomorrow afternoon we will be unveiling the nation’s newest national poll. The SME Network Top 25 Broadcasters Poll. We have established 20 broadcasters and reporters that cover the FCS to take part as voters. We will list more information on this when it is published.

Please e-mail us your feedback. Each month we will select one winner from our list of e-mails. Prizes will vary from month to month. You may also respond in this forum.

Beneficial is a good word to use. Stont Brook would probably be the most.

NDSU and SDSU will join the Gateway. All of those team are just going to beat each other up. They are already a top conference. Its a good fit for both schools but not beneficial.

SBU, UCA, and Winston are all close together. The Southland and MEAC are already automatic bids and these schools are nice additions. However, the Big South now gets an automatic bid out of it and SBU has a good a chance to win it in two years when the automatic bid is in place. Overall, I think they have the best situation right now.

:? hadn't heard the BSOUTH auto-bid was a lock

SB joining would QUALIFY us for that, but at current limits on auto-bids, its my understanding that another conf would be bumped.

I could be wrong- hope so. Would be great to see us not have to sweat it out this year

NDSU and SDSU in 2008 officially makes the Gateway the toughest conference in the FCS. Next year it will be a blood bath even more so than it already is.

NDSU and SDSU would have been perfect additions to the Big Sky. Damn you Doug Fullerton.

Trust me, Bison/Jack fans -- we wanted it to happen.

It depends on your definition of beneficial. The Gateway will be a tough conference to emerge from and make the playoffs, but once you are there, you will be prepared.
