Im surprised Eastern Washingtons Nichols is so far down the list, i would have him easily be in the top 5.

I expected Riddle to be a bit higher, but admittedly my knowledge of a lot of these QB's is sketchy. I'll definitely go with #1, however. :D

His 2008 wasn't quite the same level as his 2007.

He got exposed a bit last year as a guy who struggled to complete passes without great protection and who struggled to throw on the run.

Based on last year's stats I think the Payton Award will be out of the top 3 unless someone new emerges considering thats what Higgins did last season.

It won't be easy for any of em to beat out App State's Edwards.

I will not be surprised to see whoever starts for Montana move into the top 10, and by years end be competing with Higgins and Nichols for all BSC honors. Especially true IF that QB is Justin Roper. Right now I give him the nod to be Montana's starting QB. Selle will be the back up, Larson moves to WR. Kemp is used in other ways in 09 and 10. Kemp starts in 2011 and 2012.

SLC is a QB heavy conference for sure.

I think Skelton is a bit high based on his college production but if this were a NFL list he would be #1 or #2 based on his current ratings from NFL teams.

The word in the West is that Denham (UC Davis) is one of the best pocket passer's in the country. He's a completely different animal than the majority of the Qb's on the list. He broke four school records as a Sophomore in what has been a rich Qb legacy at Davis and head coach Bob Biggs believes he is one of the most talented Qb's they have ever had. From what I hear, his ceiling is high. If the list represented NFL projection, I'd put him #1.

I wonder why Ward is so low. I look at him like AE light.

Very light, IMO. Ward's the guy you want to, as a defense, to have the ball. I'd rather face him then the running game Richmond has had (whether they'll be as effective running the ball this year remains to be seen). Ward's fine, but they beat you other ways.

Devlin, IMO, will end up being a very noticeable omission from this list come the end of the year.

Not sure if you watched UR's game with UNI, but it was definitely Ward who won that game. In general I would rather have a savy decision maker in the backfield than some one with a cannon for an arm. I think the QB's mind is as important if not more than his arm or legs...

The Ward that played UNI last year was definitely a gamer who you wanted to have the ball making decisions in crunch time. I don't know if he was usually like that, whether it was a one time thing or whether it was a coming out party for him but he made the right decisions when it counted.
