I know....D-uh...

Win the National Championship, and suddenly recruits are listening to your pitch...as Richmond coach Mike London has found out this past few months...
"The national championship has allowed us to at least raise the eyebrow, or get the interest, of players who might be thinking about places like Vanderbilt, Duke, Northwestern," London said. "They think 'Maybe I'll put a school like Richmond in there. It's got a great academic reputation and won a national championship.'"

What is interesting is that ASU coach Jerry Moore thinks it puts schools at a disadvantage. They spent an extra four weeks breaking down film and making plans while the competition is sitting in the living rooms of prospects. I'm sure their is a break even point.

That's an understandable position by a coach who won them without a break (until last year)...

Build great facilities and recruiting gets easier...I'm certain the gap between great/good/ok & suck facilities is much greater at the FCS level than FBS...for example, ACC facilities are even steven for the most part, while CAA facilities have a big and getting bigger variance...recruiting with not so great facilities is tough...Northeastern often gets called out for a sub-par football facilty but NE manages a decent team
