How about your team/conference???
The lettermen numbers are always misleading. Different schools have different criteria for awarding letters. Number of letters awarded last year ranged from 70 at UMass, to 41 at Villanova.

You're right, a lot of those #'s are misleading. UD loses it's QB's, maybe the worst in school history & brings in a guy that should be the FCS newcomer of the year, that's a tradeoff I'll take.

Not sure when the press guide came out, but JMU is now only returning 6 on offense and 5 on defense.

Good point, Tribe, about the lettermen...it was an interesting stat and I grabbed it, but you are spot on that it's not a great indicator.....
