Bolded denotes FCS

JMU, Liberty and UR make up a majority of the list. Can't argue with the Mike London (coach), Sidbury (defense) and Landers (offense) picks for best of the year. Haven't seen this updated on the VaSID webpage and don't know how they made the selections, I know you can submit nominations, but don't know how they are actually selected.

I'm sure all of you care about the great state of Virginia  :geek:

The result of a weak season in the FBS and a strong one in the FCS.

This is a sham. Almost fell out of my chair reading only 2 Virginia Tech players on the 1st team??? Cmon, why are these kids at W&M & JMU & UR? Don't bore me with quality education BS, most of them aren't good enough to play in the ACC. VT won the freaking Orange Bowl last year. I'd put them up against the "mighty all-Virginia team" and spot you 2 TD's.

I don't know man... the first team All Virginia does have Scottie McGee...

Also, would the first team retain Victor "Macho" Harris in this game or will he pull a Deion and play both sides?

Most of the FCS players on the First team all state team made First Team All American FCS for 2008. No player from UVA or VT made the All American FBS first team. Yeah, perhaps the Chokies and UVA are better teams that would stomp out an FCS team in a heart beat. So with that, I believe the all state team is selected based off of individual performance, stats and accomplishments within their division of play and left out the players team level or team accomplishments in their selections. At least that's what I'm gathering from their ballot.
