CCU gets Michigan State Transfer

Reserve tight end David Duran has decided to leave the Michigan State program GoSpartans.net has learned.
Duran, a redshirt freshman from Marietta, GA was ranked the #71 tight end by Scout.com coming out of high school. He played in four games for the Spartans in 2008 and caught just one pass for four yards.
He also played defensive end in high school but has elected to transfer back to Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach which will bring him much closer to home according to the Myrtle Beach Sun.
The emergence of transfer Brian Linthicum from Clemson impacted Duran, who fell behind both Charlie Gantt and Garrett Celek, who's brother Brent plays in the NFL.
On the flip side, the Chanticleers are on the rise in the Football Championship Subdivision and will open a new stadium (Adkins Field) on the Myrtle Beach campus.
The transfer appears to be amicable, so GoSpartans.net wishes Duran the best at Coastal Carolina.
