Replay Restrictions on Video Boards?

UMass doesn't have a video board...it's on the list for the "Friend of UMass Football" as we raise funds for improvements...

But lots of schools have them...and the CAA is thinking about putting restrictions on what can and what can't be shown on the replay boards...
Look ahead to Oct. 10. The University of Richmond is playing at James Madison in a Colonial Athletic Association football showdown. Tie game. One minute left.

UR's Eric Ward passes deep to Kevin Grayson, who goes airborne and catches the ball along the sideline at JMU's 5. The official nearest the play determines Grayson had one foot in-bounds. A completion is ruled. This game is being televised, but officials in Football Championship Subdivision regular-season games are not permitted to use TV replay as a review tool (not many FCS games are televised).

Grayson's grab is replayed on the Bridgeforth Stadium video screen, which reflects that neither of his feet landed in-bounds. About 15,000 of the 16,000 jammed into Bridgeforth begin to boo. The catch is replayed again and again. Boos grow louder. Security holds back a handful of irate fans trying to get onto the field.

For those schools with video boards...Are there any restrictions on replays?????

For us I don't think there is Col. I have seen many bad calls replayed here as is told in the story and the chorus of boos is typical but I have never seen a situatiion where the crowd even got out of their seats and I've never seen anyone try to go down on the field during a game. Probably a lucky thing because we only have about 6-10 cops at the stadium during games from what I have seen. I hope this doesn't turn into one of those situations where a very insignificant problem across the country has an effect on what goes on here.

I think they should be allowed to show ONE replay of any play, no matter how controversial.
But I wouldn't mind a rule against showing controversial plays over and over again.

You could be right my friend, but I think during the playoffs they don't show them, chickenshits.
