CONFERENCE OUTLOOK: GREAT WEST CONFERENCE

This year i expect the Great West Conference to be even more competitive this year and dare i say another team getting a shot at the playoffs. With Cal Poly reloading their O, making them a big question mark. It will be interesting to see if the other teams can make a run at the conference championship in 09. The Great West should be a tight race this year.
1st-Cal Poly (I am only putting the mustangs here because i believe Ellerson recruited amazingly well before he left and also because the triple option is the best offense in football!! One of the canidates for the GWC championship in 09)
1st-Southern Utah (I am putting my thunderbirds here mainly because of the talent we have coming back on O and D. We will have the best o-line ever since being in the fcs, great running backs, tons of talented recievers and a transfer QB from Oregon who looks like a playmaker. Our D is also full of veterans making them possible GWC champions this year)
3rd-South Dakota (With 10 starters returning on offense the Coyotes will light up the scoreboard, however losing their whole LB core last year will probably hurt them, but they still could maybe get the GWC crown if their defense gels in time)
4th-UC-Davis (The Aggies showed they were a gritty team at times last year, however their reputational poor recruiting lately will hurt them this year along with a very tough OOC schedule)
5th-North Dakota (After a decent 1st year in division 1 football the Sioux will struggle with a pretty rough OOC schedule and a tough conference slate. If any linemen go down they are screwed.
