Former Central High School (Baton Rouge) quarterback Tyler Wolfe has decided that he will leave Louisville and transfer elsewhere to continue his college football career. The 6'5, 230 pound Wolfe told me that he is transferring as a result of Louisville changing from a predominantly passing attack to more of a running offense.

Going into spring practice, Wolfe (6-5, 220) was the number one quarterback prior to the change of philosophy. He was 2-of-4 with 14 yards passing during three regular season appearances with the Cardinals.

Head coach Steve Kragthorpe said he was sorry to hear of Wolfe's decision.

Tyler will be a red-shirt sophomore in 2009. He said he will be visiting Northwestern State, Southeastern Louisiana, Sam Houston State in Texas and McNeese State. He is also considering Texas State.

His top two schools at moment are Southeastern and Northwestern State. He recently ran a 4.740 at Louisville in the Spring. This kid has the potential for an NFL future. He is a program changer, who should elevate whichever program he chooses.

Wolfe could very well become an All-American at the 1-AA level

With George a senior at Texas State I doubt he goes there. SHSU is always in need of a transfer QB. I bet he ends up in LA.
