Delaware Spring Football Game Tonight (Friday)

Flacco, Gannon expected to be on hand

The University of Delaware football team will close out a month of spring practice Friday night, April 24, as the Blue Hens take part in the annual Blue-White Spring Game at 6 p.m. at Delaware Stadium.

Expected to be on hand for the game following a private pre-game barbecue are a number of former Blue Hens players, including Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and former Oakland Raiders quarterback and NFL Most Valuable Player Rich Gannon.

Well, the early report from my inside scouting expert (my dad) is that Devin is the real deal and looked very impressive in this evening's scrimmage. Accurate, mobile, strong arm, good decision making was what I heard. The o-line is still a question mark, but pops said if this guy has any time to throw at all (it looks like they will roll out quite a bit) that he is going to pick apart some defenses. Pop's scouting reports have always been very accurate, so we'll see what happens. ;)

Well the scrimmage looked like it went well but sun coast did Delaware get turf for its field? it looks like it on the pics on the delaware football website. And also, have you guys thought about going back to the wing-t? i kinda miss seeing the blue hens kick ass with that.

Still grass, there's field turf on the sidelines where the players stand. The Wing-T is ancient history, UD runs a spread & looks like we'll go "wildcat" some this year.
