Three weeks to go in this crazy conference season. Another weekend to try to sort this race out. A full slate of conference games again this weekend and a few good ones on tap. Some teams trying to prove that last week was just an aberration and some trying to continue what they did. I split last week which puts me at 60-17 for the year. Here is my attempt at perfection this week.
CP at ISU---The Mustangs are coming off a perplexing home loss to the Vikings last week while the Bengals are hoping to ride the optimism that was generated in their road win at UC Davis. The Bengals, fresh off their win are at home this weekend, and have all the momentum from last week...ISU 35, CP 30.
UCD at UI---The Aggies were trying to continue their undefeated run in the conference until their stunning home loss last week to the Bengals. The Vandals have their hot quarterback back and they are steamrolling the competition. Can they get this one, too? It is at their place so probably...UI 31, UCD 24.
WSU at MSU---The Wildcats gave a little scare to the Grizzlies at home last week and hope to improve on it this week. But heading into the Bobcats home, after they put a whipping on the poor Bears last week, does not bode well for the Wildcats. The Bobcats should be able to roll in this, too... MSU 45, WSU 10.
UNC at NAU---The Bears have been scaring people left and right, but haven't got the wins. They succumbed early last weekend against the Bobcats. The Lumberjacks are hoping to right the ship and get back to winning, but it hasn't been easy at all. They need to get this home win in a big way...NAU 28, UNC 24.
SAC at PSU---The Hornets are looking quite a bit better that at the beginning of conference play and now look like a legitimate contender. They head out on the road to meet the Vikings who finally broke through and got a win last week. Can they get a home win or do the Hornets have enough...SAC 28, PSU 14.
EWU at UM---Another minor rivalry games, the Eagles are hoping to bounce back to winning in the conference with a sound road win this weekend. But the Grizzlies haven't lost yet. The Eagles are coming off a loss last week, while the Grizzlies got a win last week. This one, the Grizzlies take it...UM 40, EWU 24.
