Big Sky

CP 13-48 EWU
PORTST 23-37 UCD
WEB 33-20 IDST
SAC 7-34 UMT
NAU 21-45 MTST
IDA 27-13 NOCO

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 18-18

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 12-7

Best Performance: (#4) Montana 34, (#7) Sacramento St. 7 - The Griz put up a season-high 547 total yards while holding the discombobulated Hornets to a season-low 268 yards.

Worst Performance: Cal Poly 13, Eastern Washington 48 - The 'Stangs did beat Northern Colorado, but they've lost all of their other conference games by an average score of 48-16.

Most Surprising Result: Cal Poly 13, Eastern Washington 48 - Cal Poly got 3 safeties in this game and still got blown out. How do you even do that? I mean, that's 6 free points and basically 3 bonus possessions… and you still get your asses handed to you. :suspicious:

Southland

TAMUC 21-41 LAM
NICH 45-32 UIW
MCNSE 24-38 SELU

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 7-25

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 3-15

Best Performance: Nicholls St. 45, (#8) Incarnate Word 32 - The Colonels seize control of the Southland race thanks to 150-yard rushing games from both Jaylon Spears and Collin Guggenheim (Guggenheim had 4 TDs).

Worst Performance: McNeese St. 24, Southeastern Louisiana 38 - Only one decent shot left for the Cowboys to avoid a winless season. :?

Most Surprising Result: (#8) Incarnate Word 32, Nicholls St. 45 - Maybe their inflated poll rankings will save them, but UIW's resume looks quite weak for an at-large hopeful.

Missouri Valley

NDSU 16-33 SDKST
WIU 6-50 UNI
ILST 36-35 MIZST
SDK 14-7 SIU
YSU 19-7 INST
UND 45-31 MUR

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 20-16

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 18-6

Best Performance: (#1) South Dakota St. 33, (#11) North Dakota St. 16 - The Jackrabbits have now won 5 straight in the Dakota Marker rivalry (this includes last year's title game), their longest win streak in the series since the 1910s-20s.

Worst Performance: Western Illinois 6, (#18) Northern Iowa 50 - The Leathernecks fall to 0-9 and have been outscored 262-30 in their last 5 games. :ohno:

Most Surprising Result: Indiana St. 7, (#22) Youngstown St. 19 - The Sycamores have looked competitive against good teams in 4 of their last 5 games, but alas, they're still winless.

UAC

lincca 6-35 SUU
UTU 7-24 ACU
SFA 17-59 TARL
UCA 27-14 UNA
AP 33-30 EKU (OT)

  • NConf Record: 1-0
    Overall: 20-21

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 17-11

Best Performance: (#19) Austin Peay 33, Eastern Kentucky 30 (OT) - Kam Thomas catches 10 passes for 204 yards and 2 TDs while his teammate Tre Shackelford catches a game-winning 25 yarder in a Governor win that may decide the UAC title.

Worst Performance: Stephen F. Austin 17, Tarleton St. 59 - The Lumberjacks give up 389 passing yards on 19 attempts and fall to 0-4 in United play.

    Most Surprising Result: (none)

Pioneer

DAY 7-21 VALPO
DRAKE 10-3 MARIST
USD 23-13 PRESBY
DVDSN 61-41 STET
BUT 49-7 MHEAD

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 12-20

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 1-16

Best Performance: Butler 49, Morehead St. 7 - Bret Bushka goes 16/17 passing for 281 yards and 5 TDs—ironically, his only incompletion was an interception.

Worst Performance: Dayton 7, Valparaiso 21 - The Flyers manage just 175 yards in a battle between two teams that were 0-5 in PFL play.

Most Surprising Result: San Diego 23, Presbyterian 13 - The Toreros get a late pick-six to preserve their first road win of the season.

Tomorrow: the rest of the playoff conferences.

The biggest surprise to me is NDSU scored against SDSU. Will be happy if the make the playoffs this year. 6-5 is a real possibility.
