Lol I remeber him 1 season at JMU, where he barely saw the field, if at all. Think was 3rd string QB that season. 4 colleges in 5 seasons.
Cosh played five seasons of college football as a quarterback, playing at Houston (2013-14), Butler Community College (2012), James Madison (2011) and Kansas State (2010).
He must be only around 31..

How are the players taking it? More or less opting for the transfer portal?

How has the fanbase reacted?
Fanbase likes the hire, players haven't hit the portal yet.

Yes but that is not going to help on the field when it comes to play calling.
Fans are the ones complaining about an OC with 5 years of playoff experience and 2 championships.
Ok thanks

Mike Minter Resigns from Campbell

Campbell, who a decade ago hired a former NFL star minimal coaching experience as head coach before it became the in-thing in FCS, will have to decide on a new football leader. Minter went 49-66 in 11 seasons with the Fighting Camels while the school played in 3 difference conferences. He never posted a record better than 6-5.

For all the bitching about Roehls offense...

2023 NDSU OFFENSE
#1 Total Offensive TD (69)
#1 Rushing TD (47)
#1 Rushing Yards (3560)
#1 First Downs (320)
#2 Team Passing Efficiency (170)
#2 Completion % (71%)
#2 Redzone Offense (94%)
#3 3rd Down Conv (50%)
#4 Rushing Offense (5.7 / 237)
#6 Yards per play (6.99)

PFF Total FBS and FCS Combined Ratings (261 Teams)
#1 Passing Grade
#1 Receiving Grade
#4 Overall Offense Grade
#8 Key Plays
#17 Run Blocking (#5 FCS Only)
#26 Rushing Grade (#7 FCS Only)

The bitching was because he doesn't run a 22 offense where it is dives and traps 85% of the time with the extreme majority of the passing game being to TE and FB in the flat like it's 1979 again.

Alcorn won't be bringing McNair back, regardless. They promoted defensive-coordinator Cedric Thomas to head coach. Thomas went 8-14 in 2 seasons at Pine Bluff at the end of the 2010s.

Joseph, who was the interim coach at Nebraska for most of 2022, is now the head man at Grambling. Possible controversy as Joseph was charged with domestic assault with strangulation around the end of his time at Nebraska (the charges were dropped).

Belated Coaching Change Upkeep

Campbell hired away Braxton Harris from Houston Christian. HCU promoted OC Jason Bachtel to replace him.

FAMU's Willie Simmons was poached by Duke to be their RBs coach.

Murray State's Dean Hood retired. He went 15-25 in 4 seasons with the Racers after going 55-38 in 8 seasons at EKU.

Texas Southern still hasn't hired a coach. :?

The Tigers went with former Houston Oilers (among other teams) CB Cris Dishman as their new head coach. A semi-random hire: he's a former NFL starter for TSU's former hometown NFL team, but he's hardly a household name and he's never been anything beyond a DBs coach.

Those worries are now gone. San Jose State hired former Navy HC Ken Niumataolo, a known proponent of the triple option, which apparently caused Brock Purdy's baby brother Chubba to decommit in the portal out of Nebraska and commit to Nevada instead. Odd given that Nevada is in the same league as San Jose State and Niumataolo has pledged to find an OC with an offense more modern than the triple option....
