Bob Babich, currently LBers Coach with the Buffalo Bills, is retiring at 61. He was HC at NDSU 97-02; he put up a record of 46-22 in Bizonville. Previously DC with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Bills defense this year was #1 in points allowed and yards allowed for the first time since the merger.

(I'm posting here, of course, because of the NDSU connection.)

Not a well-liked coach. Had the best running back in Bison history to bolster his record. Playbook consisted of up-the-middle, up-the-middle, throw a bomb. Craig Bohl replaced him, and the rest is history.

Babich couldn't say a sentence without some sort of profanity included.

I have been told stories of his swearing. It was epic when he was on a rant.

Lovie Smith and Urlacher carried him when he was with the Bears. Letting Rivera going and promoting Babich to DC was a yuge mistake.
