My dark horse vote is Nagy. Former Blue Hen returns to "save the program", leads UD to move up to FBS and success at that level and coaches for 25+ years. Retires and gets a statue in Newark.

That'd be a helluva pay cut, even with UD probably being the most lucrative HC position in FCS. He could probably scrape by on $750K/yr though.

He didn't do it at Liberty, Richmond, or Delaware. Maybe D2?

EA Sports talked about reintroducing their NCAA College Football game, I bet Danny could put together a pretty good team and see some success there (I assume just playing against the CPU, not actually going online and playing others).

Pay cut? The Bears will be buying him out after the season ends. I'm not sure NFL teams will be interested in him as an OC if they watch film of his play calling. The Blue Hens might be the best option he has.

So does UD go after Keeler for an attempted return to the glory days?

He's certainly on the list. Some folks read into his tweet about SHSU going FBS as him not being fully behind a move like that and maybe he wants to stay FCS. And besides, the folks at UD who forced him out before and then tried to blackball him are all gone or are no longer big influences at UD. He could come back and win his 300th at UD and cement his HOF career.

If we could get, fuck yes. In a heartbeat.

Dude pisses playoff wins.

And like GF said, the bad actors in our administration are now gone, and we have all the fancy shit in place now, the $60M performance center, etc.

Just need a coach who doesn't look like he has a finger up his ass in every picture ever taken of him.

I was referring to KC, fired by Delaware, then wins NC at S.H.I.T. Seems to be a pathway for success ;)

He took us to three chippers in eight seasons and won one, so we already got our money's worth out of him.

Any chance Delaware tries to save some $$ by having Keeler coach baseball at the same time, as HOFer Tubby Raymond did for several years?

Why would he leave a recruiting hotbed like Texas to go to a backwater wasteland like Delaware? :coffee: ;)

Potentially because he's a Delaware grad. Lots of people like to coach at their alma mater. If we could ever resurrect the program at UOP, I'd be the first to offer the position to Pete Carroll for that reason. That's also why I wanted to hire Angus McClure at the last three Sac State coaching changes. (Of course, I wouldn't change a thing now that we have Troy Taylor....)

I don't think he'll be restricted to just the state of Delaware. There are other states relatively close by and all. :coffee:

Has a Super Bowl MVP ever coached an FCS team before? That would be cool!

Well the weather is more temperate than in east Texas. That has to worth something.
