Post by Mvemjsunpx »

Big Sky

EWU 42-28 PORTST
NAU 45-21 CP
SAC 27-7 UCD
IDA 14-0 IDST
NOCO 17-48 WEB
MTST 10-29 UMT

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 19-20

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 12-7

    Best Performance: (#7) Montana 29, (#3) Montana St. 10 - The Griz defense dominates, holding the 'Cats to a season-low 96 rushing yards, a season-low 204 total yards, and a season-low 10 points.

Worst Performance: Idaho St. 0, Idaho 14 - I bet the atmosphere for this one was intense: two lame-duck coaches and no points after the first quarter. FUN!!!! :suspicious:

Most Surprising Result: (#3) Montana St. 10, (#7) Montana 29 - The Bobcats managed a seed anyway, but still… two straight bad performances heading into the playoffs makes MSU look ripe for the picking.

Southland

UIW 55-14 HBU
NICH 45-42 SELU
NWST 24-20 MCNSE

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 6-12

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 5-5

Best Performance: Nicholls St. 45, (#15) Southeastern Louisiana 42 - It wasn't enough for a Colonel at-large bid, but Collin Guggenheim's 266 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns in a key game may have been the top individual performance of the week.

Worst Performance: McNeese St. 20, Northwestern St. 24 - Cody Orgeron is sacked 11 times by a bad defense.

Most Surprising Result: McNeese St. 20, Northwestern St. 24 - The Cowboys finish with their worst record since 2004.

Missouri Valley

SDK 24-52 NDSU
UND 21-24 SDKST
MIZST 55-24 DIX
WIU 3-41 UNI
INST 15-10 ILST
YSU 35-18 SIU

  • NConf Record: 1-0
    Overall: 21-11

    vs. FCS: 1-0
    Overall: 19-2

Best Performance: Youngstown St. 35, (#17) Southern Illinois 18 - Jaleel McLaughlin runs for 185 yards and 3 TDs as the Penguins salvage something from yet another underachieving season.

Worst Performance: (#17) Southern Illinois 18, Youngstown St. 35 - Nic Baker goes 11/34 for 126 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs (61.4 rating) against a weak pass defense.

Most Surprising Result: (#17) Southern Illinois 18, Youngstown St. 35 - They still snuck in, but this confusing performance dropped the Salukis from playoff lock to nervous bubble team.

OVC

UTM 14-31 SEMO
MUR 20-13 EIU
TSU 10-55 MSST
TTU 20-48 AP

  • NConf Record: 0-1
    Overall: 9-18

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 7-10

Best Performance: Southeast Missouri St. 31, (#13) Tennessee-Martin 14 - The Redhawks amass 9 passes defensed (1 INT, 8 BUs) in what was easily their best win of the season.

Worst Performance: Tennessee Tech 20, Austin Peay 48 - The Golden Eagles lose their 5th. straight November game.

Most Surprising Result: (#13) Tennessee-Martin 14, Southeast Missouri St. 31 - Or was it surprising? Multiple UTM starters didn't play, and the game didn't really mean anything for the Skyhawks because they'd already clinched an auto-bid and didn't have a realistic shot at a seed.

AQ7

MIZST 55-24 DIX
SHSU 35-9 ACU
SFA 42-6 LAM
UCA 3-24 TARL
JAXST 31-39 EKU (2OT)

    vs. FCS: 0-1
    Overall: 8-13

Best Performance: Tarleton St. 24, Central Arkansas 3 - Sean Walton racks up 8 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks in helping the Texans get their most impressive victory of the season.

Worst Performance: Central Arkansas 3, Tarleton St. 24 - The disappointing Bears are outgained 477-161 by a team that was 2-5 against DI opponents coming in.

Most Surprising Result: Central Arkansas 3, Tarleton St. 24 - UCA finishes with a losing record for the first time since 2009.
