AQ7: SHSU has clinched. Likely a one-bid league.

Big Sky: MSU win + Sac loss = MSU solo champs. MSU loss + Sac win = Sac solo champs. MSU win + Sac win OR MSU loss + Sac loss = BSC tiebreakers.

Big South: Kennesaw State win = Kennesaw State playoff berth. Monmouth win = Monmouth playoff berth. Not sure why not the auto-bid.

CAA: Villanova win OR Villanova loss + JMU loss = Villanova auto-bid. Villanova loss + JMU win = JMU auto-bid.

MVFC: NDSU win OR NDSU loss + SW MO State win OR NDSU loss + SIU win = NDSU auto-bid. SDSU win + SW MO Statae loss + SIU loss = SDSU auto-bid.

NEC: Sacred Heart win OR Sacred Heart loss + Bryant loss OR Sacred Heart loss + Bryant win + Saint Francis loss + Duquesne win = Sacred Heart auto-bid. Bryant win + Sacred Heart loss + Saint Francis win = Bryant auto-bid. Bryant win + Sacred Heart loss + Saint Francis loss + Duquesne loss = Bryant playoff berth.

OVC: TN-Martin has clinched. Likely a one-bid league.

Patriot: Holy Cross has clinched. Likely a one-bid league.

Pioneer: Davidson win OR Davidson loss + San Diego loss = Davidson auto-bid. San Diego win + Davidson loss = San Diego auto-bid.

SoCon: Mercer win = Mercer playoff berth. ETSU win = ETSU playoff berth.

Southland: Incarnate Word win OR Incarnate Word loss + SELA loss = Incarnate Word auto-bid. SELA win + Incarnate Word loss = SELA auto-bid.

NDSU has auto-bid no matter what happens. Missouri St is done with conference play. S Dakota wins, 3 way tie, NDSU has better record common opponents, 4 way, same.

I think I read that JMU is not eligible for the autobid because they've announced they're leaving.

not true. That only applies to sports OTHER than football....CAA football has separate bylaws that don't penalize JMU for announcing their future departure.

Correct. I actually broached that a week ago. However, they have exactly 0.0% chance an an auto bid.

Hammond is about 45 min from Baton Rouge but we can't go cheer the rattlers on cause we all are going to be in New Orleans

So, it appears that the HBCU self-exclusion isn't absolute. They'll pull their #1 for the Celebration Bowl, but if their #2 qualifies for the playoffs, they can go. Nice for #2, but kinda stinks for #1, save for HBCU bragging rights (which I think Jackson State will get).

That said, I'm wondering how Montana got a seed, but EWU didn't. My initial glance through the bracket was too rushed, as I thought that all Big Sky teams not named UC Davis had gotten a seed. I still think EWU had more of a claim to a seed than Montana, despite the Griz' Brawl win which helped Sac so much. The problem then becomes who should lose their seed. Maybe ETSU, but that's tenuous at best. Every other seed is solidly in "seed status," so to speak....
