Oh, please. The remnants of the decent (not great) squad that Delaware had in the spring still sleep-walked over them with three UD QB's appearing in the game. Albany is not a good team either.

The AGS poll is the best one I've seen, and there are four, maybe five (don't go beating off, Kalm) teams with a chance to win the chipper in that poll.[/b]

If SDSU stays healthy, they should cakewalk.
I‘ll go 5, maybe 6 (in no particular order):
-SDSU
-NDSU
-SHSU
-JMU
-Montana
-EWU
Make it 7, add in Villanova (And I’d be saying the same if JMU’s kicker hadn’t choked).
-An excellent, dual threat QB.
-An AA caliber RB (was leading the nation in rushing early 2019 before seaaon ending injury).
-Playmaker WR (couple TD receptions vs Penn St (albeit 4th qtr garbage time, 1 vs JMU).
-Big OL (avg about 6’4 1/2”/317.
-Studs at all 3 levels of defense

Start 15 super seniors. Being an expensive private, their issue is usually depth, esp as the season goes on with injuries, without the quality walkon program, but with the extra super senior schollies this year, that might not be as much of an issue. Certainly their best team since they won the title in 09’.

Yeah, SIU just beat SDSU @ SDSU, but I’m not sure about their defense and if they should be an 8th team on the list

Looks like every single of the above 7 teams has had at least 1 game where they haven’t looked good. Just no dominant 1-2 teams this season..

I also assume most of the above 7 are a QB injury away from not being a contender (I know thats the case with JMU)..

NAU receiving votes?

I guess that P5 win counts for something...(plus seeing Idaho State beat UC-D). If we'd only managed not to screw up the UNC game, we'd be 3-2 with losses to #1 and #15

I can't believe all the people sandbagging here. ROFL....

UNI: Lost by a short touchdown to Iowa State and to the #3 team in the country in-conference. Convincingly won a cross-country peer game. While T13 might be a bit high, I'm comfortable with UNI being at least ranked over #20. Two tough games coming up (SDSU, SIU), but the others look to favor UNI (particularly the last three with IL State, SW Missouri State, and Western IL). I think UNI makes the playoffs.

NAU: The Jacks are at least showing signs of life. FBS win, and handled a game they SHOULD have handled. Losing to #1 is expected, particularly against a power conference. Should have beaten UNC. But three of the final six look to be in NAU's favor. Count those three, and pull at least one upset in the other three (Sac, UCD, and Montana), and NAU could be sitting pretty.

If the team that beat UNI on Saturday is the 3rd best FCS team in the country then 89 might be right about the FCS being down.

I have them ranked 1.

Conference games are tricky. Not every champion destroys all of its competition.

They didn't dominate the LOS like they normally do and they're nowhere near as disciplined as they were under Klieman. They try to make up for it by being chippier.

I mentioned to a couple of coworkers and friends before the game that I thought we would have a hard game and more than likely lose.

I am a bit confused. :? Isn't the saying "Useless as tits on a bull"?

Per that picture, it would read "useless as bull tits."

Lol having MT St ahead of JMU. Both played @ Weber.
-JMU was up 37-10, went into siesta mode, gave up 2 TDs late 4th, won 37-24.
-MT St won @ Weber 13-7..

But whatever. MT St still has EWU amd Montana.

If Delaware loses to winless Dixie(UT) State, will that be enough to over come the name recognition for the voters to not even put them on their ballot????

Inquiring minds want to know!
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
