I'm not happy with this at all. Montana at #11 after playing one spring game against a down PSU squad and another against a team that wasn't even in D-I. The Kitties are #8 only because a former NDSU assistant is now HC? And Sac is only ORV?!?
SDSU drops to 4, largely because their all-everything QB is likely out for the year and they are undecided between the guy who played most of the NC and a grad transfer from Samford. Other than that, the Top Ten is about what one would expect, but Jax State at 10, Monmouth at 12, UCA at 13, the Manure Pile at 17, and Austin Peay at 23 are WAY too high, and Incarnate Word shouldn't be getting votes at all....
1. JMU
2. NDSU

At least the charade for one is over. One day pollsters will understand what JSU really is.
And...
18. VMI
Without their QB, I'm a doubter until they prove me wrong.

Incarnate Word did beat #15 last season, and McNeese, who was #19 at the time. They are in the upper half of the Southland.

NDSU depth chart looks good for fall. QB Depth chart for NDSU is, and I can see Payton moving up eventually. Miller will be the experienced backup for a while.
If Patterson plays like this for the Bison, I'll be really happy. Those 250 lb QB's are good to have.

You should know by now that I've never bought off on the name changes for North Dakota, Memphis State, the Washington Redskins, etc....
Yes, we know. But its a goddamned strange hill to die on. Do you also call Tennessee the Oilers and Baltimore the Colts? How about the OK Thunder? Are they still the SuperSonics?

Actually, no, BDK. They used the "new" name, which I've never recognized....
SEMO is in the SOUTHEAST corner of the state. There is nothing ‘SW‘ about it.

The new QB is as good or better. I saw him play once in person and once on TV. He’s legit and VMI is ranked too low.
I would say that Athlon is sandbagging overall but then I see that they gave consideration to the dumpster fire that is Furmun. That invalidated their entire list in my mind.

What are you talking about. Superhorny had it "25. SW Missouri State". There was no SEMO listed unless I'm missing something. Missouri State was originally Southwest Missouri State.
This should be ban worthy. To constantly fuck up what should be factual posts....
Casey, just STOP.
Speaking of dying on the strangest hills.
Does it really hurt you or does it just give you some weird OCD twitches?
To have to decipher his bullshit is just stupid. Other posters didn't know who BBQ was. It's not just me 88. If you're in the Locker Room page, have all the jokes you want. When you post legit polls, you DON'T try to get cute with the alpha post of the actual poll. Either post it right or leave it to somebody who will.

You'd be surprised about what passes through my brain, AZ. For years, I've wanted to swap the Titans with the bogus Texans (the REAL Texans are currently playing at Arrowhead) and resurrect the Oilers, and to swap the Ravens and the Colts. Not sure about that NBA team, though there IS something of a link between the names (the sound of a sonic boom can be as loud as thunder). Heck, I'm not even a fan of the Raiders being in Lost Wages....

And JMU was originally the State Normal and Industrial School for Women, but I don’t see some moron listing them at #1..

Did you notice it's only the directional school guys that find this funny? My friends think I'm Rain Man when it comes to obscure DI schools and their mascots, but even I can't remember MSU was SWMSU. These schools that can't own up to their identity are silly. Louisiana - Monroe or Lafayette now wants to be UL (like in Waterboy) and were previously the South Central Louisiana Mud Dogs.

Why did you state "SEMO is in the SOUTHEAST corner of the state. There is nothing ‘SW‘ about it.?"
