I hear Idaho is hanging with Eastern by starting a converted punter at QB. Kind of like the time Montana put an azz whoopin on NAU with a converted TE.

UNI is playing without 3 of 4 starting D Lineman. NDSU should be kicking their ass by a lot more.

Good game by UNI, 23-20 Bison.
Bison were without top 3 running backs, #2 receiver, and top CB quit to enter the transfer portal.

Shhh...quiet. We’re talking real football here. How was the Griz scrimmage?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 3:05 pm I hear Idaho is hanging with Eastern by starting a converted punter at QB. Kind of like the time Montana put an azz whoopin on NAU with a converted TE.

Re: Scores 10-11 APR
I only got a chance to watch three quarters, but CWU was too overmatched. They played well the whole game, but unfortunately just kept having to deal with short fields. The way they played certainly wasn't how bad the score ended up being.kalm wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 6:21 pmShhh...quiet. We’re talking real football here. As usual, everyone felt the second string performed better than the first.

The bizumbs almost lost to a mediocre 3-4 team that was missing 25 players including 3 of 4 starting D lineman and their all-American receiver. UNI only had 3 D lineman suited up and had an offensive guard start on the D line. The Panthers played with heart but the bizumbs should have crushed them.

First ever outright Title in Weber State history.
Only 2nd time In Big Sky history a team has won a championship 4 years in a row.
Weber has also set a team record with 11 straight home victories.
Granted none of these might seem all that impressive. But when you take into consideration how historically bad Weber as a program was. These numbers are huge. Weber continues to make history. And it's so awesome to be able to see Weber compete at a national level. 20 plus years ago i could only dream of this. Now its a reality.

No apologies required for winning close games. In 2010, we came from behind something like 7 times. Most of our conference games and playoff games weee tight.
Hope you guys make a deep run! Enjoy!

Not expecting the Bison to crush too many teams this spring. They're the #2 team in the country. If they win it or come close to winning it, that's just more proof that the asterisk for this season is a little bigger than some want to admit.Gil Dobie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 5:57 amNot expecting the Bison to crush too many teams this spring. And any putz that calls teams quitters for folding should be celebrating UNI playing with such a depleted squad. Where are the streamers?

Or they’re a really great program playing in the best conference through a very challenging season, that figured how to win close games.UNI88 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 8:06 amThey're the #2 team in the country. Re: Scores 10-11 APR
Well, after starting 0-9 (0-4 fall with 3 I-A losses) the Citadel has now won 2 straight, beating Wofford and Furman. Could even beat VMI next week, who lost their star starting QB for the season..
So I guess the top 2 for sticking with it and not quitting goes to the Citadel and UNI..

El Cid has probably been through more than UNI - they win the 2020 FCS National Championship. Playing through injuries and Covid losses is as good of a reason to crown a champion in this sh!tshow of a season.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 10:25 amWell, after starting 0-9 (0-4 fall with 3 I-A losses) the Citadel has now won 2 straight, beating Wofford and Furman. Re: Scores 10-11 APR
Winning games is secondary to losing greater numbers of players and still playing. It could break a tie but isn't the key differentiator between championship level teams during the Trumpdemic. Teams that fold are quitters and teams that play through the most adversity, injury and protocol losses are real champions.
